In the more watered-down present day rap environment of pop and screaming teenage white girls, here we have an artist with something to say and a fresh spin on how to say it. Why he isnt well known outside the midwest is beyond me, although I've gathered from some sources that his different image (ie red hair) scares some of the big players in the industry away.

If you're tired of CDs that use 40 of the possible 80 minutes or contain 10 skits and 10 tracks - then you'll find this a good buy. Tech fills roughly 78 minutes of the CD and has only a couple skits mixed in.

His beats range from furiously fast to quirky, which is a perfect mirror to his rapping style and lyrics. "Slacker" and "Slither" will provide some more mellow listening, "T9X" and "Industry is Punks" more of a powerful burst, and many others blending both elements.

The main theme of the CD revolves around his growing recognition and popularity since his last release - "Anghellic". It also contains a little bit of the "Why Arent I Famous" element - a good question.

Tech N9ne's big selling point is not just his lyrics, but his incredible flow. He is perhaps the best flowing rapper ever, and thats without losing any kind of vocal power (ie Krayzie Bone).

Filler Tracks? Nope. Tracks you'll repeatedly skip? Nope. This is a deep CD. Making it even deeper is Disc 2 - The DVD that comes with the CD. It contains music videos, extra tracks, concert footage, and other additional content. (If you ever have the chance to see Tech live - do it!)

Although Tech loses a bit of the emotion and meaning that came with Anghellic, he definately hasnt lost a bit of his style and originality. Buy this album now.

Tech N9ne is a breath of fresh air for fed up rap fans, such as myself. In an industry that's capitalized by over-used beats and weak lyrics, cough, 50 cent, cough, it's nice to hear someone with talent. His mood is dark and bleak, and his lyrics, speed, and flow are unmistakeable, and unparalelled. It's not fair that someone with this much talent isn't making the kind of money that mainstream rappers are, I guess he's too real and his lyrics are too raw for the American public. Underground artists such as Tech N9ne have more heart, because they rap for money, but more so for the love of rap. I apologize for interjecting my opinion into this review, but I think these guys need the recognition they deserve. Best songs are: Trapped in a Psychos Body, T9X, Worst Enemy, and Imma Tell(blisteringly fast rhymes), but all of the tracks on all of Tech's albums are good.

This i think is up there with the best . tech n9ne is one of the best undrground rappers out theire. there are so many good songs on this cd this ishow i rate each song.

I will say two things: 1) Tech N9ne's slept on and 2) he shouldn't be. This dude is sick. I've grown up to his music and I've never heard a bad song. Absolute Power is his first "mainstream" CD. It isn't actually mainstream, but it sounds more like it than his old stuff (which I recommend also). Anyway, Tech spits better than a lot of rappers nowadays and I really think you should check him out. ONE.

tech n9ne is one of the best rappers around...and on this cd he proves it. he has such a good flow and very fast rapper and great beats. this cd is great from start to finish. best song has to be im a playa. thats the first song i knew of him and ever since then ive loved all his music. theres not one song by tech n9ne ive heard that i didnt like. he deserves more credit than he gets. support real rap and buy this cd. dont listen to that other crap. This is real rap!!! give it a try. you wont be disappointed.

After the critically acclaimed release, "Anghellic," Tech N9ne was looked at as a devil worshipper and a negative style rapper because of it. But instead of taking it to heart, Tech used it as motivation to release another certified banger with "Absolute Power." It was released in 2002 and includes the biggest hit of Tech's career with "I'm a Playa."

Tech finally delivered that classic album we all knew he had in him! Every track minus one is hard as ever with Techs crazy flow and lyrics, plus the production is top notch and great to blast in your whip. A must have for any Tech N9ne fan or fan of hip hop in general.

YO, THIS CD IS HOTT, IT'S A LIL BIT DIFFERENT STYLE. IT HAS SOME CLUB BANGERS, AS WELL AS SOME HARDCORE ISH, IT COMES WITH A DVD THAT SHOW'S SOME OF TECH'S PERFORMANCES WHICH IS PRETTY TIGHT TOO.

Tech N9ne is back with another hangbanger for the hip-hop world. Anghellic was more about how he felt on the inside but Absolute Power deals with how he feels on the outside in his everyday life talking about his trials and tribulations on J-COR records, kickin it,and just being a"SLACKER." Overall, Tech 9 brings his energy from the stage to the booth to keep you moving to the beats with his unique talent as a rapper. Hopefully this will give him more exposure to the MTV generation. His first single, "Slacker," has already appeared of MTV 2 on Riffs and Ryhmes show. Plus, the DVD that comes with the CD gives you more insight on Tech 9 with an interview, "Slacker" video, Tech 9 rapping in the booth, and other bonus material that you'll have to find out about. The only way is to buy it. It's worth it. Go get it!

this was the first tech N9ne CD i have heard which made me go out and buy the rest of his s#!t. i couldn't believe that i hadn't listened to his music earlier being a fan of many underground talents.

his beats are catchy, lyrics are so-so, but the speed at which he raps more then makes up for it. i was highly impressed with this dude. Slacker and The Industry is Punks are probably my favorite songs of this cd, but for the most part the entire cd is worth a look.

Absolute Power is Tech N9ne's follow up to his critically acclaimed Anghellic. Absolute Power is the result of many years in the recording industy, and in song's like "The Industy Is Punks" he shows his distain with the inudstry and the way it operates. Out of the two albums, I would say I like Anghellic a bit more because of it's darker, more personal feel, but Absolute Power is no less a great album. D-12 makes a great guest appearance on "She Devil" and you get introduced to Strange Music's own Kutt Kalhoun, Skatterman and Big Krizz Kalico on "Constantly Dirty," which is a great, slow paced song. I'm sure you've all read on many reviews that Tech is the most overlooked and underrated mc out there, but the only way to find out is to have a listen for yourself. I promise, you won't be disapointed.
