This review is from: Absolute Responsibility, Strict Accountability (Paperback)
Everyone is familiar with the term "truth is stranger than fiction", and in author, Thomas C. Fairley's first book, Absolute Responsibility, Strict Accountability, Fairley weaves a story that portrays some real thought provoking truths about our government within a fictitious plot. He weaves with humor the serious topics of citizen's responsibilities and the government's accountability.
The story is fast paced with Fairley creating likable characters committing unthinkable crimes. A real stroke of genius, he takes the familiar Eastern North Carolina controversial issue of hog waste that threatens the environment and devises a wild and unique use for this smelly product. He keeps the reader wondering where the story is going and how it will all turn out.
This book ties together many different issues that we read about, that we, our friends and neighbors continue to face each and everyday. Once I started reading, it was to put this book down until I finished it.
