Reading this book will help the Christian enter into a deeper maturity and understanding of a personal relationship with the Lord.

Among the many excellent points Murray mentions are:

1. God will answer our prayers if we are totally surrendered to Him.
2. We must have unbounded trust in God and His goodness.
3. God is able to pour His love into our hearts so we may in turn love others.
4. Live in the power of the Holy Spirit and not your own flesh!
5. What we cannot do, God can do!
6. The Apostle Peter had to be humbled before he was used greatly by God.
7. We must live in utter dependence and trust in God.
8. Everything will be alright when we absolutely surrender to Christ.

Read the book and be encouraged to walk deeper with Jesus!

Like many Christians, you began in the Spirit; God wooed you from a life of sin and self, and you gave your life to Him. Yet somehow your life in Christ that began in the Spirit, you think will be perfected by your efforts. You have somehow confounded the invitation of our Savior to "Abide in Him" as a command coming forth from Mt. Sinai; i.e. something that you have to do in response to His call.

Pastor Murray gives us the simple, yet profound remedy for successful Christian living; Absolute Surrender. When we present our bodies as a living sacrifice unto God, He is able to accomplish what He promised He would do in our lives.

Nothing less than Absolute Surrender will do.

This book is very encouraging for every believer that desires to surrender their life completely to Christ. Murray comforts us by emphasizing that the work of sanctification and surrender rests on the shoulders of Christ himself, not us. Even in fear and trembling, when we surrender our lives to Christ for His glory, He accepts our surrender and sees it to completion. Amen! A must read!

Murray challenges us with the uncompromising truth that God calls for nothing less than our total surrender to Him, yet also comforts us with the uncompromising truth that we are powerless to do so...that we must allow God, in His grace, to do for us all that He requires. We must become nothing in ourselves so God can be everything, and only by His power can we hope to forget ourselves and come to know Him.

The text is easy to read, which makes it all the more impossible to dismiss. Absolute surrender is difficult not because we don't understand what Murray means, but because we do. Each chapter is well organized, and the book culminates with a clear account of the parable that God the Father is the Vinedresser, Jesus Christ is the Vine, the Holy Spirit is the Life of the Vine, we are the branches and the promise of the Kingdom is in the grapes.

This book absolutely changed my life!!! ..... As I was reading it -- the Holy Spirit was ever present ....... and I was on my knees in reverent prayer to God at the end of the book. God reaches out to everyone in different ways - and this book was one of those ways for me. I was so touched and moved - that I bought copies for everyone in my Bible Study group. I cannot recommend this book enough.

Andrew Murray targets, perhaps, the single hardest, yet absolutely necessary attitude to living victoriously in Christ. A life-changing classic for both new and mature Christians!

This book by Andrew Murray is for the Christian that is unhappy with an ordinary life and are not experiencing sincere love, joy, peace, patience, and all other aspects of the Holy Spirit in their lives. God saves and indends for his children to have an abundant life here on earth and the way to move into the abundant life is by absolute surrender. Yes, the key to victory is by surrender! This is God's way, not man's.

This book is critical to every Christian. The author writes with an encouraging, uplifting style and is easy to understand. Yet, this is a meaty delve into some necessary spiritual disciplines. It helps one clearly understand just how much God is in control of everything and if we surrender to His sovereign will, great changes will happen.

I read the book Absolute Surrender by Andrew Murray and thereafter brought one more for a friend in Philippine.
It is a very highly recommenced book for any Christian who want to learn how to surrender yourself to God should read this book.
After reading through this book ,I am very much more aware of why we should surrender ourself to God if we want to have the full blessing from God.

This book is fantastic! I have shared its message with many friends and have recommended it far and wide. This book goes deep, to the issues of the heart. While never cheapening salvation, it shows how God's grace is truly His power, and that it is needed not only at the beginning of the Christian life, but every step of the walk. Expect to be blessed!
