Editorial Reviews

To celebrate the Japananese dancer Saburo Teshigawara's first UK tour in 10 years, and to accompany the piece's worldwide touring, a number of international sound artists were invited to respond to the theme "absolute zero", with new compositions. This CD brings together eight artists whose work shares with Teshigawara's sensibilities of concept, aesthetic and innovation. From Biosphere to :zoviet*france:, the contributing artists are at the forefront of electronica, their sounds sketching subtle approaches to the absolute. With exclusive tracks from Biosphere, :zoviet*france:, Monolake, Hallucinator, Jiri Ceiver, Disinformation, Hazard and Gescom.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Compilation on the Trippy Side, November 23, 2009

This review is from: Absolute Zero (Audio CD)
This is more subtle trip hop or Ambient effects music. Superfluid flows into Zoviet:france by Sifr and your imagination explodes for the rest of the CD.
Musically, I would draw reference to Loop, Main, Autechre, however all percussive are very subtle... but there. It is kind of hard to describe. I did not like the disc that much when I first heard it. but the music grew on me substantially. excellent spin!!
