Excellent remastering! Walkin' In The Rain sounds like never before! But "Crying", leave that to Roy Orbison! How can any compilation, claiming to be "Absolutely The Best" as this one does, leave a top 20 song like "Some Enchanted Evening" off the disc?????????

I bought this CD mainly to get the remastered "Only in America", which is horrible sounding on other J&TA CDs. While this remaster is better, it isn't as pristine as I expected. I suspect that there just isn't a good master recording available.

The other familiar songs are wonderful. The not-so-familiar ones are forgetable, and I found myself skipping them soon after they started.

Still, for the price and for the 8 or 9 familiar songs on this recording, it's worth owning if you are fussy about audio quality.

This is a great collection of all Jay & the Americans hits. Original cuts. The sound quality and song mix on the CD is excellent. I'd forgotten how good, She Cried, and Walkin In The Rain are produced and sung. I really enjoy hearing them more now than when they were popular. But all the other great hits are here as well; Come and Little Bit Closer, Cara Mia, This Magic Moment, Only In America. But you'll probably enjoy some lesser known cuts by them as well. Do I Love You is good listening. This is a good CD. You won't be disappointed.

Just received this audio CD. Every song is a keeper!

On the down side, the uv levels and bass levels vary greatly from song to song. As an example, "I Want Her" affords all the bass bost your rig can make available.

That said, I still advocate this album. With vu level and bass level adjustment made on a song by song basis, these songs will sound great!
