Jeff Hamilton... John Clayton... Jeff Clayton... Names synonymous with the spirit of jazz, innovators of todays music. Much of what has been said about these guys have not been heard loud enough. They're good - very good! Their sound is not like most other bands. Sure, John Clayton came from the Basie breed, and it definitely carries over into this band of fine musicians. The thing is they're part of todays breed of jazzers. They're here, now! And, they're letting us know with these jam-packed cd's, full of music and life!

This particular CD I am a BIG fan of. See, my college band from rinky-dink Central Washington Univeristy is lucky enough to have a close friend of the Clayton Hamilton families in our system. And, this is none other than the yougn, vibrant Kristin Korb. She was able to get us a copy of my favorite chart of the disk, Max. It's a great shuffle tune with lots of drive and push. I hope that, if you buy this disk, you'll enjoy it as much as I do.

Well, enough from me. All I can say is this disk is worth every penny. I hope you'll think so, too.
