5.0 out of 5 stars Still fabulous, and not dead yet, April 3, 2002

This review is from: Absolutely Fabulous - Series 4, Part 2 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Series 4 is usually as good as series 2 and 3, with the exception of 'Paris' and 'Donkey,' which are not that great, 'Paris' easily being the worst of the series. The other episodes are all pretty outrageous. 'Fish Farm' is one of my favourites, and the last two episodes, 'Small Opening' and 'Menopause' are both rather wild. There are parts of all the episodes that seem to have been written for other skits, though. Those parts involving 'gran' and her friends don't quite seem to fit sometimes. However, the series could have been much worse. Series 3, overall, is probably the best still.

Loved it, Loved it, Loved it!!!

These 2 babes did it again in such fashionable style. If you have never seen an episode of this i suggest you sit down for a while, take a pill and chill.

We follow the adventures of Edina and Patsy again over 6 fun filled episodes. Drink, Dine and smoke to your hearts content...they do and keep you in stiches doing it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but I miss the old Eddy!, November 19, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Absolutely Fabulous - Series 4, Part 2 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
As a veteran fan of the show from its inception, I found the fourth series to be a bit less funny...although "Fish Farm" and "Small Opening" were my favorites (Patsy in Manson garb was too funny!) Eddy and Patsy are both still looking great and Patsy especially seems more sophisticated and "mellowed out."
I do think that the segment with Sarah's "chemical peel" was unnecessary, and I am not sure what the purpose was for this since I try to like Edina despite her self-absorbed persona. And for some reason she does a lot of yelling in the "Menopause" episode instead of being humorously agitated like she was before. Overall I really enjoyed the first three series more but I found some good things in these as well.
