this is the best horse book i fond it in the librairy and rent any time they have it's the best i recomend this book to all horse lovers. any one who dosen't like this book must not have any taste. becase to me it's the best ever!

I found this book at the library. As I was reading it I saw myself in it. I, too, wanted a horse of my own. I wanted a good horse, one that I liked and that also liked me. When I actually got my own horse I found that he was very much like the horse in this wonderful book. Thank you Ardath Mayhar

This book was apparently written at a time in America's history where war, prejudice and morals were at heightened sensitivity. Today's young adults may not fully understand some of the military flashback episodes, or why the young boy who came home with their father was difficult for many people to accept. But what shines through the rest of the nuances being introduced, is having the good morals to do the right thing, not judging someone based upon their looks or origin, and learning what it means to be a good friend. Beautiful imagery about the horse and his personality.
