I sell used books on Amazon and this is one of the best cleaners I've found. The manufacturer also makes a dry cleaning sponge called the "Dirt Eraser." Both are essential to any serious book seller or bibliophile.

Avoid using with old clothbound covers, December 4, 2010

I advise against using this to clean the covers of old clothbound books; the pronounced cell pattern of the intersecting threads can trap the Absorene, which is then impossible to completely remove. I've checked this with the manufacturer and they were unable to offer a solution.
