Book Description

September 23, 2006
Abstemious Doves is a poetic connection that joins philosophy and allegory. It is a profusion of words that are pretty and "always new" inside of an unconventionally unmade thing. I would just as well say, "Dive in, make it your own, and allow the words and photographs to mean whatever to you that they will." Abstemious Doves is not a "Made Thing." It just is. . .Sit down. Put up your feet. Get a cold glass of your favorite beverage or a warm sip of something, and. . .Enjoy this creative journey of poetic liberties and beautiful photographic slices of Georgia - A collector's item from me to you. Salome G. Rowe

About the Author

The youngest of five children, Salome G. Rowe (Salome as she prefers to be called) reveled in the froth of peace, paper dolls and pretty words. She began writing poetry at the age of ten. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Georgia State University. At the time of publication, Salome was studying to receive a Masters degree at Capella University. Her first electrifying novel, "A Tale About Lilly," received raving reviews. She also writes children's stories. Each year her public relations firm presents the coveted Ybonie Communications (www.ybonie.com) Avant-Garde Writing Convention Award to a deserving recipient. Salome lives in a small southeastern Georgia town where she enjoys bird watching and listening to the sounds of stillness.
