Though these records are available on microfilm, it would have cost me at least three times as much to rent them as it did to order the book. I also liked the idea of having the information on-hand so that I could consult the material repeatedly. As one of the more intense genealogy hobbyists, I find that over time I end up checking records repeatedly. In order to trace the migrations of ancestors, I often have to trace people associated with my family as well as direct members of the family. This means that my need for information from a given source may evolve over time. I love having these records here at home to consult as more names become pertinent to my search. This is a great source of information, and well formated to make it easy to find who I'm looking for. I highly recommend it.
