You pay a little more but this in top of the line. It has smooth operation and I never have a problem with it. It is durable and is made to last a lifetime.

this is the best casting reel i have used and purchased for medium to heavy rigs as long as you follow the advice provided and you will be very pleased with almost no backlash even using braid. my tip to eliminate backlash is make sure you wind up your line as firmly as possible and this is more critical when using braid line.
