I compared a lot of spinning reels before purchasing this one. Did a lot of research online through fishing forums etc. Two reviews sold me on this reel - one was by a company that services all types of reels, the other was by an avid fisherman who completely disassembled the reel and took pictures of the entire breakdown. Both of them were extremely impressed with the construction quality and materials quality of the reel. They both thought it was superior to the Shimano Stradic which costs about $40 more and is considered to be one of the top spinning reels on the market.

I've fished with it about a dozen times using 8lb mono and a Bass Pro extreme medium duty rod. The reel is very smooth and casts great. It's really nicely balanced and it's quiet. I will probably buy an ultra light model some time down the road. Great reel you won't be sorry with the purchase. The price from Amazon was better than anything out there also.

This reel is very nice and smooth. Very high in quality. The drag is excellent. With this strong drag and heavy braided line I use, I don't need any bigger reels than this for bigger fish. It also come with an extra spool which is like having two reels for the price of one. One spool I use 10 lbs braided line and the other I use 30 lbs braid. That cover all my fishing needs from very light to heavy. You can't go wrong with this reel, especially I got it for $70 (half the listed price).

So far the operation is smooth, the retreive effort less. I use it in saltwater but is too early to see how good its operation is affect by the saltwater. is nice to have the spare spool. Excellent price.

I have had the reel for close to a year now and it has taken its place as my favorite reel. I get significantly more distance out of this reel than my Shimano Sahara but it is not quite as smooth, when reeling. The drag has been excellent and line twist has been pretty minimal. Overall, this is a very enjoyable reel and I have been very pleased with it.

It is an excellent product, with a perfect construction. Has the power, versatility for different uses. I am extremely happy to buy this reel.

Super nice reel. Have used about a half dozen times with no complaints yet. Not quite as smooth, and a lot heavier than the Shimano Stradic, but a few bucks cheaper too.

I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday, I have yet to give it to him, but he knows about it and he keeps finding it when I hide it and pulling it out and playing with it. It is a great price and can't beat the price.
