Review
This book will make you laugh, wonder, sympathize with and even feel pity for some of the characters; it portrays Abunuwasi as a person who lives by wit, wisdom and slyness, leaving most of the other characters in sheer defeat. It is a book of very few words, but it is advisable to read it word for word, page after page, concentrating on each drawing to get the right message. Gado has arranged the episodes of Abunuwasi in an interesting sequence; it is his sheer craftsmanship and artistic mastery which has enabled him to effectively illustrate and interpret these stories. --
