This cord is very durable and is very long. Which is what I really needed since my original cord was too short IMO. Sometimes at school it is hard to get a seat next to a plug. This cord helps me get some much needed room for when the outlet is just a little out of reach.

I bought this item for our exchange student, who had only a European-style power cord for her Acer laptop. We had a small problem with this because the end of the new cord wouldn't fit into the power brick. (It wouldn't fit into my Acer power brick either.) After looking closely at the end of the plug, it was apparent that the molded plastic at the end of the plug left the holes too small to fit over the prongs in the brick. After a quick routing of the plastic with a steak knife, it works just fine.

Update - 2/17/2012. This item is now in the garbage. Within a month of normal use, I noticed that the black plastic sheathing near the wall-plug end of the cord was separating, exposing the inner wires. Within the past few weeks, the same happened to the other end of the cord. The insulation on the inner wires soon started to wear off, rendering the item unsafe. Too bad.
