5.0 out of 5 stars "Oscar nominated tunes sung by Bing", May 27, 2000
This review is from: Academy Award Winners & Nominees (1934-1960) (Audio CD)
MCA Records presents for the first time, nearly all of Bing's classic recordings of Oscar-nominated songs all brought for the first time on one album. All selections digitally remastered from their original sources, with informative liner notes by E.B. Wiggins (head of the International Bing Crosby Association). Five recordings make their CD debuts - "THE WAY YOU LOOK TONIGHT" (1936) introduced by Fred Astaire - "SECRET LOVE" (1953) another good friend Doris Day. A real classic is Bing singing Bob Hope's big theme song "THANKS FOR THE MEMORY", Crosby and Hope were household names in the "Golden Days" of Hollywood, with all the "Road" pictures that still appear on the small tube.

A real nostalgic CD for your growing collection of the best songs and recordings from the past, sung by your favorite crooner over the past four decades. So pick this one up and relive those wonderful years of long ago, and bring back wonderful memories.

Total Time: 61:08 on 20 Tracks/ MCA Records - 088 112 274 2 (2000)
