Sally Ross studied in France and taught the history and culture of French Canada for ten years and now works as an author, translator, and consultant. Alponse Deveau, an eighth generation Acadian, was the first director of the Centre Acadien at the Universite Sainte-Anne in Nova Scotia.

This is a fairly expansive and sometimes personal account for the history of Acadia. Historical accounting as well as personal perspectives gave me insight to my roots and a better understanding of how things came about for my known ancestors. Makes me want to dig in even further.
