I'm giving this five stars for the fact that it seems to be processed properly, it certainly has no added sugars, and it came really quickly from the supplier.

However, be warned. If you've never had this product, it does NOT taste like a berry (or what Americans have gotten used to thinking is a berry taste). It's not remotely sweet or yummy. It tastes like...well...the closest I can describe it to you is that it tastes as if you'd mashed a bunch of black olives and slurped them down. (Not like olive oil, but as if black olives made juice.) This is NOT a lovely taste.

However, if it does anything remotely like what the folks around claim antioxidant-wise, then it's worth the not-so-pleasant taste.

I'm suspecting that if this is what 100% acai really tastes like, those other products, like Mona Vie (which is quite sweet and fruity), are adding a lot of non-acai stuff.

Anyway, there you go. Quick delivery. Much cheaper than Mona Vie. Not so delectable taste. But think of it as medicine, I guess.

I was initially very happy with the first 6 bottles (two batches)of this product. When I ordered and received my third batch (three bottles) a few months later I found out the liquid was severely "watered" down. It also didn't feel as powerful to my body as the first two orders. I really felt the difference in the first two batches.
The distributor claimed it was because of the variable weather conditions in Brazil but I didn't buy that explanation. If you happen to get a bottle that contains thick liquid then you got the right batch. I won't order anymore bottles till I know I'm getting a consistent product.

Forgo the MLM crap that the Monavie moonies try to entrap you in. At forty bucks a bottle with a mysterious percentage of actual acai berry juice I think you can make your own version of Monavie by buying a bottle of organic fruit juice from Trader Joe's and mixing some of this acai juice with it.

As for the taste: I'm not sure what the other reviewers are talking about but they must be used to a heavily sugared diet because this juice does NOT taste bitter or unpleasant at all. It is bland, almost a 'nothing' taste which makes this ideal for mixing into a mixed fruit juice or apple juice or whatever.

After a weird Monavie sales pitch from my son's high school baseball coach I decided to look into acai juice and decided that I'd give this product a try. I'm not sure if it is psychosomatic or not but I do feel an increase in my energy levels.

I recommend this acai juice to anyone not wanting to spend $[...]/month on a Monavie scam.
