Açaí (ah-sigh-ee) is a large palm tree indigenous to the Amazon. Açaí fruit is traditionally utilized as food and medicine containing a natural spectrum of antioxidants, including anthocyanins andproanthocyanidins. Açaí also contains healthy omega fats, protein and fiber. To preserve the fragile antioxidants, Açaí is first deseeded, then the pulp and juice is flash frozen and freezedried,retaining all the natural goodness of the fruit in the convenience of a powder or capsule. Açaí contains 47%- 49% good omega fats by dry weight.
