Product Description

Bench-crafted one at a time, the leather journal cover is crafted from custom tanned quality cowhide deeply embossed with a swirling acanthus leaf design. The journal is accented with a solid pewter button, which an attached rawhide cord loops around to securely fasten the journal closed. Within the taupe leather cover is a replaceable hard-cover blank book with 208 pages of heavy bond acid-free pages, perfect for recording sketches, notes, diaries, dreams, poetry, musings or your personal works of literature. Once the pages are full, the journal may be refilled with a new blank book (also available separately), allowing the journal to be appreciated for a lifetime. Leather portions are completely tanned and hand-tooled in the USA. Pewter accent is individually designed and cast in the USA. The acanthus design wraps around the entire journal, front to back. Overall size = 6-inches by 9-inches.

This isn't my first purchase of one of these beautiful writing journals, but it is my first ONLINE purchase of one. The journals are simply gorgeous, and you can see all the talent and craftsmanship that went into making it. I love that the insides are replaceable, so that you can use the same cover over and over. You can buy a standard black-covered sketchbook or journal for it, at a much lower cost. It would be a crime to let this one just wallow away in a drawer, and this extends the life of this beauty over and over.

Ordering through Amazon was a breeze, but because these journals are each made individually, it took a little time to ship. No worries...the recipient was thrilled!

The real color is darker than the image but still looks good, the texture and the embossed are great.
When I got it I was surprised because the name of the manufacter is not "Modern Artisans" but it does
not matter, now I have the perfect anniversary gift for my girlfriend. Thank you! I'm considering to buy
another for me with different embossed.
