If you love acappella music and have a thirst for something patriotic, search no longer. This album is done by the masters of Christian acappella, Acappella, and stands on its own as a great patriotic work. I highly recommend it for fans of Acappella, acappella music, and anyone wanting a new flavor of patriotic songs.

Acappella is a little known Christian group that has released a series of outstanding CD. Some offer original songs (Like the now classic "Criminal on the Cross"). This CD offers a cappella arrangements of patriotic songs, perfect for any time of the year.

The list reads like a check list of the best known. They've got great renditions of "America," "God Bless America," "The Star Spangled Banner," and "My Country 'Tis of Thee." I was especially happy to get their upbeat version of "God of our Fathers." I've just learned this song recently and am glad to have a recorded copy of it. I also enjoy their version of "God Bless the USA."

About the only misstep on here is "America Medley." I probably would have liked it more if it had come at the end. In the middle, it just feels a little weird to hear parts of songs we've heard and songs we have yet to hear.

This CD will take a little extra effort to track down, but anyone who enjoys patriotic music and the a cappella sound will be glad they did.
