You would think it wouldn't take 60 albums for a group to record a greatest hits album. I have no idea why it took so long, but I'm glad they did. I own almost all of their albums and having their greatest hits on one CD is awesome. This album is jammed with spiritually moving songs.

I particularly like the additions to this album that were not on a previous album... Teaching the Truth in Love, Special Delivery, and the Medley.

"Teaching the Truth" deserves its place on a greatest hits album and is one of the most popular Acappella songs of all time (it climbed high on the Christian charts). "Special Delivery" is good song to think about what God has given us. "The Medley" is perfect for the album because they just couldn't fit all of their great songs on one album (since they waited so long). So, they just made a Medley of alot of their older songs that deserve their places in the Greatest Hits.

This album is a must-have for all Acappella fans and is a great introduction to the group for non-Acappella fans. It has 17 tracks, including the Medley which is over 10 minutes and contains about 8 song parts.

For any fan of a cappella music, this is a great album to own. In my humble opinion, Acappella as a group has had a somewhat spotty album history. Some of their albums have been great, and some have been fairly non-descript. It doesn't help that the roster of the group is always changing.

In any case, this release is a fantastic collection of their songs, some new (in 1998) and many old. Some of my favorite tracks are "Special Delivery" (what a great bass line!!) and "Walkin' That Line" (what a great tenor line!!).

If you want one collection of this wonderful Christian a cappella group, this is a great choice. I always enjoy listening to it!!

I recently had the pleasure of seeing these guys in concert. As a music lover in many types of music, this is the one concert I will treasure forever. The ministry of this group has touched many people over the years and their passion for what they do touched everyone in that auditorium that night. Even though the names have changed over the years, the talent and message have remained the same. Give glory to our creator. What makes these guys so special is their unbelievable harmonies and wonderful mix of "traditional" gospel songs to fresh new songs, mostly penned by the groups founder Keith Lancaster. You will not be disappointed with any of their ~15 albums and this is a superb collection and a good start if you are new to Acappella. Most of their songs are just the 4 voices with ocassional percussion mixed in on other songs. If you love vocal music and harmonies with a true message, these guys are as good as it gets - period.

This incredible collection will grab from the very first song and never let you go until you survive the climactic last song which is a dynamic melody of several of their songs. My absolute favorite song on this album (if I were to be put to death unless I could pick just one favorite!) would be their "Not My Will But Thine" - I crank this one up so I can hear every nuance it has to offer. A powerful album!

This is the best christsian CD! Whenever I'm in a bad mood, this CD has me singing along at the top of my lungs and just makes the day a little better. This CD is great, even if you don't like christian music much. And if you think that because there's no instruments, it's not going to be good, think again. You don't even realize that there's no instruments. This is one of my favorite CDs!

I love the album The Collection and I love the Acappella group! When I saw the songs on here that they were singing, I noticed some of my favorites! It is awesome! I love this CD! If you love the Acappella's and some of their music, especially their top music, I would STRONGLY reccommend getting this CD. Thanks.

Acappella has done it again! In this "greatest hits" CD, you will find heart-pumping, soul-lifting, God-praising harmony that will continually surround you in the Spirit. I would recommend that everyone WEAR THIS CD OUT!!!

This CD instantly became one of my favorites as soon as I opened the shrink wrap and started listening to the first track! The way they weave their voices together in intricate harmonies to form a unified sound is just amazing. The slow songs are beautiful and moving, while the faster ones are powerful, energetic, and just plain fun to listen to. I would recommend this CD to anybody.

We've had this CD for years, and it hasn't gotten old. We still love to listen to it. The medley at the end is amazing. The talent in this group is so well matched. I recommend it to anyone wanting to hear some good acapella Christian music. It can't be beat!

I first heard this album working in a Christian coffee shop in 1998; I played it over and over again, and never got sick of it. Eleven years later, and I no longer consider myself a Christian, let alone an evangelical fundamentalist, and it still makes me cry. The purity of spirit, and talent, brings through beauty, faith, love, and even God, irrespective of one's religious framework. No matter what your religious beliefs, this is a first-rate collection of music, and in the same way I would recommend the Chronicles of Narnia to anybody who can either enjoy or get around the Christian subtext, similarly I recommend this album.
