I love this cd!!!

I got it today, and after listening to it, I'd have to say I have mixed feelings. The songs are pretty good, not disappointed there. It's too short though! It's only 34 minutes long! It says it's an Enhanced CD. Don't be fooled though. The only "enhanced" material is a link to jump5.com. So much for videos and the like.

Here's the rundown, all scores out of 5:
+ Song variety: 5 - Good songs. I like the cover of "Walking on Sunshine". They range from fast and upbeat (Do Ya), to the slower songs (Every Part of Me) that Jump5 has always nailed in the past (Angel In My Heart from All The Time In The World). No remixes that Jump5 has been infamous for in the past.

+ Song musical value: 4 - Could use some more male vocals, although the ladies have pretty much lead Jump5 vocally on previous CD's. Accelerate is no different.

+ CD Length: 1 - Only 34 Minutes for the whole CD. Very Disappointing.

+ "Extra" content: 0 - A link to jump5.com...that's it.

Despite of the short length and lack of enhanced features, Jump5 delivers a solid performace with this CD. All Jump5 fans should "accelerate" to the store and get this CD.

This is tottaly the best cd i own! I love all these songs. The only bad thing about this cd is that there are 10 tracks. This is so good, I mean GOOD!
1.Do Ya- 5/5This song is great! The perfect track for the cd
2.We Are family-90/5. OH MY GOD. What a difference from the main version. When i let my friend listen to it, her brother went ballistic
3.Wonderful-5/5 Great. Their first slow song on this cd. Makes you feel good about yourself, and actully a good sleeping song
4. Pressure: Wow! This mmakes you love it! The only part i do not like on this cd is when chris sings and there is no music exept beat. The choras is great!
5. Why Do I Do- Jump5 are Christain singers, and they have god and jesus oin their songs, but that is good. They are telling how god gave them everything they needed and more than they needed in the first place
6. Way Of The World: Great! This song does not match any thing because it is not like a regular song but they say that its the way of the world
7. Walking On Sunshine- Great! I liked the version before and when i heard this one i went ballistac
8. Every Part Of Me- This song, another with the song after this one, was made by one of the Jump5 members, Brandon. He and Brittany are Brother and Sister. They look alot alike, But Brittany dies her hair ALOT! Back to the song, This is great. Brandon should make his own cd because his lyrics are so powerful, even if there might not be alot of songs(he made 2 of the songs on this cd, that would be fine with me if he only had 2 songs)
All Because Of You-Aher song by the great brandon. This might be my least favorite. When i hear this song i just try to mumble to sing but the words kinda don't fit me, but try this song, its pretty good, and when they sing it, its better!
Shining Star- This song is on the Lizzie Miguire Movie soundtrack, which i own. This song is great to dance to. When i borrowed the Austin Powers soundtrack from the library, there was the origanal song of shining star. When i listened to it was tottaly different. Another great copy from Jump5.
This is a great cd. I will tell you, Grownups and kids will love this cd. For everybody who likes pop or even soft rock. This is a great cd to the collection. Jump5 tottaly earns a five, and even more than that. Everybody has a great voice, and i reccomend that Every person in Jump5(Chris, Brittany, Leslie, Libby, And Brandon)will go solo 1 day. Check out the other jump5 cds!

All Because of You- Brandon Hargest of Jump5 wrote this song. It is my second favorite. There is no word that describes how good this song is.5/5
Shining Star- I have never heard the original Shining Star. My favorite line is Your a shining star no matter who you are. Great to Sing. 5/5
I know I put 5/5 on all of these but Jump5 deserves them!

I have been a fan of Jump5 for quite a while. It all started with Jump5's debut hit of their self-titled cd "Jump5." Then came "All the Time in the World," which began to show a growth in spirit and maturity. In Christmas of 2002, Jump5 released their cd, "All the Joy in the World," which consists of upbeat renditions of contemporary songs, such as "Joy to the World" and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town." Finally, in 2003 Jump5 has released their newest, and by far, more mature, cd, "Accelerate." This title is aptly named, as it shows acceleration in spiritual growth, in their self esteem, in maturity, and in their strong faith. As a cd, I rate this with the greatest rating, 5. As a group I commend them on their ecstatic attitudes and their steadfast meaning behind their songs, and would gladly give them the highest rating possible.

I LOVE Jump5, and raced out to get Accelerate as soon as I got out of school on the 7th. Although I love both previous Jump5 CDs, I was really happy to discover that the 5 teens have slowed down thier music a bit (IE most of the songs are calmer, less dancey, less synthesized).

1.)Do Ya ~ Wow. What a great opening song! Brittany's vocals really, really rock on this song. I love the lyrics, because they're totally relateable. 5/5
2.)We Are Family ~ The first single off "Accelerate" - it gets a lot of play on Radio Disney. I love this song, it's like the older Jump5 stuff - really fast paced and sorta synthesized. But it's so fun, and the vocals are awesome. 5/5
3.)Wonderful ~ This song's a bit slower paced, and also one of the more Christian songs on the CD. The lyrics are beautiful, and Libby's (or Lesley's? I dunno, one of them...) voice sounds beautiful. They chorus is really inspiring. 5/5
4.)Pressure ~ Probably the most different Jump5 song ever. It sounds a bit...R&B to me. I love the way they whisper in the first verse. 5/5
5.)Why Do I Do ~ Written by ZOEgirl (good friends of Jump5, a fellow Christian band). It's beautiful, and I love Brittany's vocals (again. SHe's got some killer pipes) 5/5
6.)Way of the World ~ Another great song, I love the part in the song "Sometimes I just burst out laughing, it's the way of the world for you and me..." 5/5
7.)Walking on Sunshine ~ Great cover song, this track also sounds like their older stuff. I like this more than the original. 5/5
8.)Every Part of Me ~ I love the guitar in the beginning, it's really pretty...all the girls sound awesome on this song. The lyrics are (AGAIN!) beautiful and inspiring. 5/5
9.)All Because of You ~ When I first heard this song, I really liked it (due to the neat guitar in the beginning)...the lyrics are totally fun/relateable...and then I found out that Brandon Hargest actually helped to write the song...and that made it ten times better. I love bands that write their own music. 5/5
10.)Shining Star ~ Another great cover, also from the Lizzie McGuire Movie OST. 5/5

Not a song on this CD ISN'T 5/5. Great buy, I recommend it for everyone, fan or newcomer to Jump5.

Overall grade - A++

Although the members of Jump5 are very talented, and have very catchy songs, I have to say that this CD simply did not match up to their 1st or 2nd CDs. I would have liked to have seen more original songs on this album, instead of tracks sung by previous artists (Even though I love "We Are Family").

I would still recommend this CD, even though I would recommend Jump5's 1st CD, and their 2nd CD, All the Time In the World, over this particular one.

Hopefully, there will be more improvement in Dreaming In Color, their 5th album coming out soon, even though, sadly, Libby quit the group to go back to her normal life.

Jump5's newest studio album "Accelerate" gives the popular Christian pop group a brand new sound. Now more mature and borderlining on a pop/ rock sound, the five members continue to improve in their musical talent. Musically, the album is very good. It is nice to see Jump5 get back to some more blatently Christian songs such as "Why Do I Do" and "Wonderful" after previous albums where it was difficult to tell if they were Christian or secular if you didn't know. Other highlights include the energetic "Do Ya" and a number or wonderful ballads including "All Because of You", the first Jump5 song partailly written by a group member (Brandon). The only backstep I feel with the album is the amount of covers on the album, specifically "We Are Family" and "Shinning Star". it just seems like these covers are keeping the group from singing what I enjoy most about the group- their Christian messages. Personally, if I wanted to hear covers like this, there are a number of secular groups that already are doing them. I really would just like to see the group return to doing more Christian songs and less oldies covers. Even with that, I still feel that the CD is enjoyable and worth buying for any Christian pop fan.

This is simply a great album, PERIOD. Full of kool, up beat songs, aimed at giving people a positive attitude toward life, Jump5's latest album (their fourth), is perhaps the best so far. From old classics to modern pop, this album has it all! Accelerate, from the group so many have come to enjoy, is an incredible album. Here's what I thought of Accelerate, by Jump5, from Sparrow...

1) The Songs: This album is full of great music, from classics like "Walking On Sunshine", to modern pop "Do Ya". "Do Ya" (the hit single from Jump5's Accelereate) is just a fun song about having a crush on someone. Having trouble talking to the person, hoping they like you. Just sticking around a room to be around them... We've all experienced it, and "Do Ya" is all about that situation...

Yet a few seconds later, the song goes from a crush on a person you like to a much more serious song about fighting peer pressure in a romantic relationship. There isn't a song on here I didn't enjoy, and it just has a little bit ofeverything. "Walking On Sunshine" and "We Are Family!", classic songs from the past, are hits once again, with just a (little) spice added from Jump5. And new songs like "Do Ya" and "Wonderful" are soon to be classics in the J5 collection. Another great album, anyone who liked Jump5's past albums, or just likes good positive music, Accelerate is the CD for you!

2) Quality: This Album has a lot of great songs, and in my opinion, none that I didn't like. All the songs are aimed at being positive about life, God, friends, etc... The singing is fantastic, and together, these teens really have a beautiful sound. The background music is great as well, making you want to dance or if wearing headphones, kick your feet, shake your head, etc... Had a bad day? This is the CD to put in. Makes anyone feel good, and really aims at having fun, living life for God, and how special each and everyone is.

Truly a great CD, I would reccomend this to anyone who liked any of Jump5's past albums, or just wants some good music to listen to. This is a great album, and if you have teens who don't like Christian music, or listen to really negative music (like myself when I was younger), this would be the CD to buy. Great music that all kinds of people can enjoy... One of the lines in a song simply goes "Your A Shining Star...No Matter Who You Are!"
