Satisfy Your Need for Speed

If you're looking for a high performance cable that delivers the speed needed to support any HDMI device, Accell's ProUltra HDMI High Speed Audio/Video Cable is an excellent choice. With a speed rating of 10.2 Gbps, the ProUltra cable supplies enough throughput to optimize your HDTV, Blu-ray player, HD-DVD player, PS3 game console or home theater components, and is ideal for those who want maximum speed and flexibility for their home entertainment system.

Complete your home theater system with a high performance A/V cable

Outstanding Audio and Video Reproduction in a Single Cable

Meets Strict HDMI Specifications for Spectacular Performance

The ProUltra cable is designed to the latest High Speed HDMI 1.3 Category 2 Specification. The High Speed HDMI 1.3 Specification more than doubles HDMI's previous bandwidth and adds support for 36-bit Deep Color technology, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio and automatic audio/video Lip Sync capability. This high speed cable supports all HD resolutions, including 1080p/120Hz and the upcoming 1440p resolution. It transmits an all-digital signal for superb picture and sound. Delivering both uncompressed high-definition video and uncompressed multi-channel audio, the ProUltra cable supports an overall bandwidth of up to 10.2 Gbps (340 MHz) for a blazing fast audio/video connection. No other HDMI cable offers better performance.

Compatible with Any HDMI Device

The ProUltra cable works with all HDMI devices, even those compatible with earlier HDMI Specification. The HDMI 1.3 Specification is fully backwards compatible with previous HDMI versions. Even if you don't have HDMI 1.3 devices today, using ProUltra cables will ensure compliance and system scalability should you upgrade your system to HDMI 1.3 in the future.

Quality construction enables superior performance

Superior Construction Built into Each Cable

Designed to eliminate signal degradation for superior audio and video reproduction, the ProUltra's all-foil shields and high-density metal braid reject electromagnetic (EM) and radio frequency (RF) interference. The UltraFlex jacket's woven mesh sleeve provides easy routing and protects the cable from deformation. ProUltra cable connectors and contacts are coated with extra-thick 24K gold plating for a solid, corrosion-resistant connection that delivers the best in audio and video transfer.

Not All HDMI Cable Companies are the Same

Making a quality HDMI cable that is compliant with HDMI Specification requires premium materials and skilled workmanship. HDMI cables are sensitive to variances in construction, especially over long runs. A poorly made HDMI cable can affect picture quality, causing artifacts such as snow or colored speckles, or effects like ghosting, especially during dark sequences or scene transitions.

Most cable companies don't have their own factories and are simply resellers, sourcing HDMI cables from third parties. Purchasing cables from a third party can make it difficult to ensure performance and quality.

Accell is different. Employees at Accell's cable factory engineer, design, assemble and quality check cables in-house, ensuring that the highest levels of quality and performance are built into every cable. Accell HDMI cables are constructed using only superior components. From their 24K gold-plated HDMI connectors to their oxygen-free copper conductors, Accell cables are certified 100% HDMI compliant.

Coordinate component throughput
for the best picture and sound

What HDMI Cable Speed Do You Need?

Throughput is the maximum amount of data that can pass through a cable. HDMI cable throughput is measured in gigabits per second (Gbps). The number of gigabits that can pass through an HDMI cable in one second is considered the cable's throughput. Throughput is also referred to as cable speed, and the more gigabits that can pass through an HDMI cable, the greater the cable's speed.

When you assemble a home theater system it's important that all of the components, including the cables, share a similar specification. If one piece of your system, such as your television, has a maximum resolution of 720p and your DVD player has a resolution of 1080i, the DVD player will automatically scale down the video to 720p--the most your TV can handle. You're not getting all you can out of your home theater experience.

The same goes for your HDMI cable. If it isn't correctly matched to your system, it won't have enough throughput to handle all of the audio and video signal, causing the system to scale down. For example, instead of getting the billions of colors in a 36-bit Deep Color feature, your system could scale down to lesser 24-bit color if the wrong capacity cable is in place.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, December 31, 2007
This product is probably the best HDMI v1.3 for the money. I have also purchased one on ebay and it wasn't as good in the sense that the connection was loose and was too stiff of a cable to bend around my entertainment cabinet. Since HDMI v1.3 is the future standard I wanted to get the right cables now. I did not run any tests, but the picture is clear, snug fit, flexible cable. There was no way I was going to spend 50-100 bucks for a cable.

5.0 out of 5 stars High Quality Cables, February 6, 2010

    Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Accell B077C-003B ProUltra High Speed HDMI Cable (3.3 Feet/1 Meter) (Electronics)
While I generally prefer one of the competitor brands, I was in the market for a short (about 3-foot) HDMI cable which the competitor didn't offer. I found this Accell HDMI cable on Amazon. Since I wasn't familiar with the brand, I did some research and was convinced from the info I found that the Accell ProUltra cables were competitive in quality and price with the brand I normally use so I ordered this one. I was very pleased with the construction and quality of the cable I received. Video and audio quality are great. I would have no problem in the future ordering Accell ProUltra cables for hooking up my audio/visual/computer equipment.

4.0 out of 5 stars excellent price point for HDMI 1.3 cable, August 4, 2008
    Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I purchased one 2m and two 1m Accell HDMI 1.3 cables for about $22-26 each along with an Oppo 3x1 HDMI 1.3 switch. There are less costly cables available from monoprice, but I went with the Accell cables. These components were used to connect a cable company DVR and PS3 to the one HDMI port on my LCD projection HDTV.

I have several older HDMI cables and conducted a few non-critical viewing tests to compare the Accell 1.3 cables to two other 1.2 cables brands prior to installing the switch. All of the cables performed to my satisfaction. The reason for going with the new HDMI 1.3 specification is for a future upgrade where I will need the raw digital audio pass-through capability that I believe is included in the HDMI 1.3 specification.

I have one minor detractor about the cables I received; while the 2m cable had little HDMI 1.3 raised tags on the connector plugs, the 1m cables did not; however, there were small holes on the plug bodies where I believe the tag mating posts would have been inserted). Possible product finishing quality control issue; but presumably not a functional quality issue (as the Accell cables seem to function at least as good as my other HDMI cables).
