Product Description

The inflatable bath tub is a new and improved product that allows the patients to enjoy a safe, convenient bath in bed without feeling uneasy during its use. A person simply rolls onto the 22-gauge vinyl antimicrobial tub, which is then inflated around them using the included wetdry vacuum. The bathtub with its new streamlined design is longer & deeper and its double tube design helps prevent splashes and spills. Inside dimensions of portable tub are 71 long x 31 wide x 13½ deep (accommodates individuals up to 6 foot 2 inches). Fits all beds. The hand-held shower connects to a tap up to 25 feet away. The drain hose (leading to bathtub, sink, or toilet) can be turned off for a long soak or left on for constant draining, allowing a consistent shower. The drain hose and vacuum, both included, empty the tub thoroughly. A garden hose may be used to extend tubing if necessary. 2 gallon wet/dry vacuum included to inflate and deflate the tub. The portable bath tub has a double tube design which helps to prevent spills. 25 hose with hand-held showerhead attaches to sink for water supply. This handicap bathtub also includes 25 drain hose with on/off valve. This disabled bath aids fit for all beds. Latex free.

It seems pretty good when you see it in the picture but it doesn't even give you 10% of the job that it is meant for.

I was hesitant to spend the money on this bathtub for fear that it wouldn't work as expected. This tub is wonderful. It does take some sweat and energy to bath my bedridden, Alzheimer's sticken mother, but this tub functions as it says it does. I do have a little trouble with the drain hose. The first time I used it, I got it to drain into the toilet. The secod time I used it, I couldn't get it to drain that way again. I ended up sticking the end of the house out the back door. My problem seems to be that the bed was not high enough to get the drain action going. But...I got it to work and I expect to get better at it each time I use it. I also use a waterproof mattress cover under the bathtub because I leave my mother's diaper on during the bath to avoid feces from getting in the water. This leaves us with a wet diaper while I am rolling her out of the deflated bathtub. The mattress cover takes care of that, protecting the clean sheets and then I remove the wet cover. I highly recommend this bathtub. My mother's skin and hair are more supple since I can soak and rinse her. Her muslces are also more relaxed from the soaking and running of hot water over her. The tub is not recommended to be used with a lot of water in it. I never fill it over half full for sure...actually not even that full. The weight capacity of our hospital bed is only 450 lbs and the seams on the bathtub are not made to withstand massive water pressure. Read all the directions before use.

I know I was. Every weekend as I watched football or golf I would see couples in glamorous situations that just weren't happening for my wife and me. Here we are with our boring old lives at home, and all these other middle aged couples are relaxing in dual porcelain, claw footed, old fashioned bathtubs, perched above glorious views of a beach.

Of course I always wonder, if their reliance on Cialis gets them in this situation and becomes of benefit to them, how do the mechanics work out when they are in SEPARATE bathtubs? I digress.

How, I would ask, do they EVER get those bathtubs out there? They weigh hundreds of pounds! I have a van ... not one of these teensy weensy mini-vans that were so popular a few years ago, but a real Dodge RAM 250 that was popular years before the mini-vans. It will hold a half ton of QuikCrete perched right on top of its rear bumper without a sag in the springs, but it will NOT fit two old fashioned, porcelain bathtubs inside. I also wondered how they managed to fill them. No spigots are in evidence in any of those commercials. No hose is laying coiled nearby.

So those couples continued to mock me with their superior know how, week after week, and I started to fume.

Finally inspiration struck. I've never encountered a product related problem that I could not solve using the vast resources of Amazon.com. How could I have been so stupid for so long? I searched, and in only moments found ... Inflatable Bath Tub Ez Bathe Portable Bathtub With Accessories. It felt like cheating, but it was within financial and logistical means. The tub was a perfect solution. It was also new and improved.

Sadly, my need for this product is not as glorious as the "Cialis" man. His review is hilarious, LOL.
Anyhow, I got this item for my mother, as it is increasingly difficult for her to get safely into the tub. My brother set this up for us. He is very handy and he put it together easily.
My problems are as follows: it is not as easy as I had imagined. If you have a dedicate line to hook this up, it is best. I am going to have to find a way to detach the line when we are not using the tub w/o causing the threads to wear out.
I am still not used to the water line, having trouble with attaching & detaching.
If you have no other options, this is a much cheaper way to go than reconfiguring a bathtub. Buyer beware, it is not going to make bath time easy, but giving the options - it is not bad.

It had problems with every thing, the hose, drainage and shower hose doesn't connect with the faucet, it keeps coming off.The water drainage is very poor. It seems pretty good when you see it in the picture but it doesn't even give you 10% of the job that it is meant for. I waisted my 300 bucks in it.
