Editorial Reviews

I was floored after reading this book. Sadness came at times and sometimes laughter, then anger, and then a smile. It opened up my understanding to a depth that I didn't know was possible. At first glance, I thought it was too sad, but after reading further, throughout the lessons, without missing a beat, I found something that changed my way of thinking. --E. Williams

The saying, "Fool me once shame on me, fool me twice shame on me," rings true in No Accidents: Blessings in the Lessons by Marnii Jones Peel. The author takes readers on a journey through her trials and tribulations. It is clear in this book that not everyone grows up in a healthy environment and many have to survive in unhealthy ones. Marnii Jones Peel's life experiences have given Marnii the ability to share with others that may be in a similar situation.

It is easy to say "You have the ability to walk away," but it is easier said than done. Marnii went from early pregnancy, into a rushed marriage, followed by abuse then into a rehabilitation of her life. She started to see her abusive marriage going too far. Marnii had forgotten that God's love never left her and in order to save herself she would need to let go and let God.

No Accident: Blessings in the Lessons is about making the choice to start over. I love the fact that, in this book, Marnii decides to turn her life around to save herself and her children. I appreciated the end of the chapter lessons that shared what Marni did wrong and how not to follow in her footsteps. This book will be a motivator for others in similar situations as well as an inspiration to share with individuals that readers may know that are in need of help. There were some grammatical errors but they did not take away from the books message. I recommend this book to others.
