5.0 out of 5 stars Solid basic info, January 15, 2007

The best basic radiology reference I've encountered for those of us who aren't regularly interpreting Xrays but need to have a systematic approach that will work for us when we need it. It provides a guide for analyzing an X-ray in a step-by-step fashion and gives relevant pointers regarding subtle findings that you don't want to miss and common pitfalls. Contains lots of useful (and clearly reproduced) sample Xrays.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Reference for A&E Radiology, May 26, 2005
I work in an A&E department. The author Nigel Raby gives a one day course that bring his subject alive and turns you from 'what am I looking at' to 'ah this is abnormal' in one day....this is his one day course in an easy-to-read book. This book is used every day in our department. It is well laid out, quick to reference, well thought out and an overall excellent reference for reading xrays commonly seen in the A&E department. It also points out common pitfalls and errors made. An excellent book that I reccomend for any new SHO in the A&E dept.

Great little reference book for those who deal with any kind of accidents. Does a great job of differentiating normal vs. common abnormal. Not a comprehensive text, but the comprehensive texts are the ones never used.
