This is a great book!,

This review is from: Auto Accident Personal Injury Insurance Claim: (How To Evaluate and Settle Your Loss) (Paperback)
Because I'm surrounded by lawyers who argue and fight all the time I've read them all. I've always found all the other books on this subject matter to be too long and drawn out. Several of those on the market today are misleading to the point of being a downright "pitch" (a book written by a lawyer and reviewed by a lawyer) to con the reader into securing an attorney to handle their claim. (Question: How do I know that? Answer: Because 34 years ago I was born into a family of lawyers and we're always talking about such "stuff.") We all agree that Auto Accident Personal Injury Insurance Claim is, beyond the shadow of any doubt, the best of its kind on the market today.Baldyga's book is easy to read, comprehensive and most importantly his outstanding instructions (plus his truly innovative BASE Formula--which absolutely places an accurate value n "pain and suffering") provides one with all the help they need to settle their claim for a much higher amount than they ever expected. I loved it and recommend it highly. (My family of lawyers were stunned by the "inside info"--some of which even they weren't aware of--that Mr. Baldyga has passed along in this fantastic book.)

Got me $5,000 more than I thought I would get,

My wife and I were injured in a rear-end accident in early this year. As an international student, I had no idea how to settle the medical bills with the insurance company. Fortunately, I found your book and ordered it online. I just finished the negotiation with the adjuster several minutes ago. Following the instruction in your book exactly, I made her increase the offer by more than $5,000. The book made me feel confident when I fought with the adjuster for a fair settlement.

This book was very informative though was quite wordy and I had to read and re-read a couple areas a couple times to understand it. However, I was able to make a chart for myself based on his explanation and will use that as a basis for the settlement amount I am requesting from the insurance company of the other, at-fault, driver. After reading this book, I am confident and feel very steadfast in the settlement amount that I have requested from that insurance company. I'm anxious for the final outcome!

Excellent reference book that works!,

After my son and I had an accident I didn't have a clue where to begin, or what had to be done. I read this book, followed instructions, and feel I successfully negotiated the claim on my own.
I noticed an article below that complained about the cost of the book. I figure I saved about $2,500 by doing it myself. That's the 33% a lawyer would have taken to do what the book showed me how to do myself. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the $30.00 cost was a small price to spend to save $2,500. Anyone who can read and follow instructions will also be able to save a lot of money like I did. And I'm not always good at following instructions, but I did it!

Great for starters...but needs a bit more meat,

Baldyga Dan's book is a great place to start as one embarks on the journey of auto insurance hell. it's a simple read and easy to follow. The author makes use of a formula called the "BASE" to put a general value of a claim. While this general method for determining valuation is a good start, what the book really needs are specific examples of "Demand Letters" or "How to put together a really good claims letter to justify the settlement that you've requested". Lawyers charge excessive fee's. The online version of this book is $20. You do the math....

My wife and I purchased this book some time ago as we prepared to settle our claim.
She had also bought a few others online and we spent quite a bit of time reading them all. Each one had some helpful information, however, we both felt this book was the most concise and had everything we needed to know. I especially liked the fact that this particular author did not talk down to the readers, nor did he use the difficult to understand legal terms that some of the others did. He took us step by step through the process, explaining what we needed to do at every turn. Neither my wife or I had ever been through this wrenching process before. When we met with our adjuster we both felt a lot more confident thanks to this book. I'm pleased to report that we just settled our claim for the amount we figured out with this book. It took some haggling, both on the phone and in person, but we held fast as the author said to do and we persevered. For the benefit of others who find themselves like we did, struggling to learn the in's and out's of a claims process, I would recommend this book highly.

I'm so grateful to have this book,

I just finished reading this book which my mother got me for Christmas. I had an accident a few weeks ago and was beside myself with worry over it. I didn't get hurt badly but my neck and back hurt a lot the next morning. My car wasn't so fortunate, though.
I did lose time from work and had to rent a car. The worse part was not knowing what I had to do next. After reading this book it answered so many of the questions I had. There's no way I would have known about some of them since I never had an accident before. The only thing I didn't see in the book, unless I missed it, is whether I should include my medical bills in the formula since they are going to be paid by the insurance company. The accident was the fault of the driver behind me. I don't know how anybody can ever begin to try and settle their own claim without a book like this. There's SO many things you need to know. Someone in a review below said that the book is only 50 pages. My book is 140 pages! And there's a ton of information in it that tells me exactly what I need to do. I'm so grateful for this book.

Base Formula was successful,

I am 50 years old and until my accident I have never had a wreck. I bought this book on Amazon.com about a year ago and followed it religiously to settle my claim. It worked. Thought I'd share this with others.
Also, the book helped me see additional damages that I didn't recognize previously. Just that alone would have been worth the price of the book. But the author's Base Formula showed me how to figure out how much my claim was worth, and that saved me thousands. This is one book I won't be loaning out, just in case I have another wreck.

I settled for over $95,000 - this book really did the job - thanks!,
This review is from: Auto Accident Personal Injury Insurance Claim: (How To Evaluate and Settle Your Loss) (Paperback)
Dan Baldyga: Your book has given me the ability to settle my own claim with ease. Everything that I needed was within the pages of your book. When I sat down with both insurance adjusters from the two different insurance companies they were very impressed with my knowledge of the process and pleased that I had everything they needed to process the claim. I settled for 15,730 for property damage and 80,000 for medical bills and pain and suffering. I think the 8 X 10 glossies of my injuries to my body and car really did the job. I wish you could have been there when the insurance adjuster looked at them for the first time.

Worthy of Five Stars - Content is King!,

This review is from: Auto Accident Personal Injury Insurance Claim: (How To Evaluate and Settle Your Loss) (Paperback)
Dan Baldyga has written a book that shines a bright light on the shadowy world of personal injury auto claims. The insurance companies are the ones that keep policyholders and claimants in the dark. They try their best to control the claims process. For the most part, they succeed...UNLESS a person buys books like this one. This book is somewhat wordy, but thorough, and that thoroughness is what you need. Great job, Dan!
