The Accidental Library Marketer,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Accidental Library Marketer (Paperback)
I do research about "Library Marketing". This book shows well the concepts and practical ideas of "Library Marketing". I think every librarian, researcher, and professor in Library Science needs to read this book. As the author says, the class of "Library Marketing" is needed at Library and Information School. This book can be read easily. The author writes like narration with simple and easy expressions. Library is a treasure from ansient world. It keeps growing. And librarians can know how to make the libraries better, central in community, core in any organization with this book.

Whether you are a librarian or not, you will find tools you can use to market your organization or business. You should see all the post-it tabs I have in the book! In my opinion, she rates up with those more well known in the marketing field and don't be surprised if she joins their ranks soon. What do you need to know? How to gather data, how to use your site, how to get buy-in from staff and fellow employees, how to create surveys? Her book covers this and a whole lot more. The price of the book is a steal. We had Kathy at our State conference this year and she was outstanding. If you get a chance to have her as one of your speakers, do so. Consider having her for half a day or more, and not just a session or two. She knows how to convey her message in a personable way without pushing one into "information overload". Hoosier Librarian
