Book Description

Harlequin Historical March 1, 2010
Lieutenant Michael Thorpe is a forbidden temptation for Lady Hannah Chesterfield. Etiquette demands Hannah ignore the shivers of desire his wicked gaze provokes, but he's the only man to recognize her restless spirit, and her unawakened body is clamoring for his touch....

Thrown together by scandal, a defiant Hannah joins Michael on an adventure to uncover the secret of his birth--is this common soldier really a prince? If so, will the ordinary man who has taught Hannah the meaning of pleasure now make her his royal bride?

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Romance!, June 3, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The Accidental Princess if a companion book to The Accidental Countess and is best read after it, but it can stand alone. The story has two strong willed, passionate main characters that have a sizzling forbidden romance between a Marquess' daughter and a lieutenant in the British army. Their attraction threatens to ruin their lives, but a mysterious heritage looms over the lieutenant that pulls him in a way he never expected or wanted. The author is a masterful writer who has a knack at keeping your attention. This book is a must read! I hope the author continues this series for her loyal fans!

4.0 out of 5 stars Very enjoyable read, likable characters, February 22, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I really enjoyed this story. It was relatively simple and unconvoluted. A fairytale. The hero and heroine were both likable characters and that right there is a major plus for me. The chemistry was believable and the love scenes written well. My only disappointment would have to be in the supporting plot. It was simply ok. It contained a bit of mystery and though I do enjoy mystery novels as well, I found myself caring little for the mystery aspect and more for the love story. Mostly though, I read a romance novel simply for the interaction of the hero and heroine and to watch the relationship unfold, so this didn't deter me from enjoying the book over all.
Also, the kindle version was not overwhelmingly riddled with typos (for which I was very grateful!).

3.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable, flirty and fun, December 30, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This was a fun read! The characters left me wanting more which is always a good sign. There was a good amount of sexual tension which I think is part of this book's charm. Believable characters who stuck to their traits. Well written with a good plot!
