Reluctant Hero,
By Merry Reader "Sissy" (Indianapolis IN USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Accidental Wife (Fairytale Weddings Trilogy) (Harlequin Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Okay, no more funny books. Well this book is one of my favorite themes; Jonah Alexander is wrong about Nikki Ashton, over and over again.
But he never grovels good enough for me. Nikki lets him off the hook he put himself on over and over again. Why? Because she has falling in love with her accidental husband. Nikki has been taking care of her family since she was twenty. Her sister, aunt, uncle and cousins ride her like a horse and she lets them. So when Jonah gets on the ride Nikki finally gives up some control. The only problem Jonah wants to be the only rider of this horse. He is so mean to Nikki. It was only beause of the first book in this series Fairytale Weddings "Temporary Husband" that keep me reading this book. Although I don't know why the books keep saying they were invited to the Cinderella ball when they had to pay a huge amount for the ticket. I'm glad I finished the book, by the time it started being funny, it was over. I loved hating Jonah. The first book was really the best, the sequels not so good, and not half as funny. But guessing the kind of under garments each of them were wearing was a cute try at humor. From the back of the book: 'Nikki Ashton was invited to a wedding-her own! The inspiration behind the Cinderella Ball was simple-come single, leave wed. By midnight perfect strangers could find themselves married...as if by magic! To keep her love-struck boss, Eric, at bay, Nikki Ashton had told him she was happily married. The wedding ring had been easy-all she needed now was a husband! Jonah Alexander seemed heaven-sent. Unfortunately he'd come to the ball to stop a wedding, not start one! He was convinced his brother Eric was about to make the biggest mistake of his life.-marrying Nikki Ashton. But then he realized Nikki wasn't so much waiting for her husband-to-be as shopping for him.'

Another great read from Day. Nikki Ashton needs a husband fast. Her boss, Eric is infatuated with her, so she makes up a husband who is working away.
Jonah Alexander is at the ball to prevent his brother Eric marrying Nikki. In the mix-up Jonah ends up marrying Nikki himself. Next is "Shotgun marriage". |
