3.0 out of 5 stars ok book by a great writer
I purchased and read this book because I loved the other books in the "Accidental series". The reason this book gets only 3 stars is because for some reason I just couldn't get into it. Our heroine just doesn't live up to previous ones and the 'romance' between her and her 'acidental-mate' just seems forced and unreal. Don't get me wrong, I truely enjoyed the others in...

5.0 out of 5 stars Accidental series, Book Four. I liked it better than the previous ones., February 5, 2010
This review is from: Accidentally Demonic (The Accidental Series, Book 4) (Paperback)
Casey Schwartz's job is to escort two trouble-attracting twins everywhere they go, day and night. If she cannot keep the twins from getting into trouble, it is up to Casey to do some damage control. So when the twins get too wild at a bar and a photographer is trying to snap some scandalous pictures, Casey steps in his way. The next thing Casey knows is waking up in jail for assaulting an off-duty cop. Her sister, Wanda Jefferson, comes with two friends to bail Casey out and try to piece together what happened. But mild mannered Casey seems to have had an attitude adjustment, so when one of Wanda's two friends makes her angry Casey sets the woman's hair on fire! Answers to the group's numerous questions begin when Clayton "Clay" Gunnersson walks in the door claiming he is responsible for everything.

Clay had been so close to finally getting rid of Hildegard, the demon who has been the bane of his existence for far too much of his vampire life. Unfortunately, the demon blood Clay had on his person is accidentally spilled on a mortal woman, causing her to become uncontrollably enraged. Like it or not, and she does not, Casey has become half demon and there is no going back. Casey is shooting fireballs from her fingertips, levitating, and sprouting horns. If that is not enough to wrap her mind around, Casey learns that her own sister, Wanda, and the two friends with her are also paranormal. Casey must learn to control her sudden tempers and how to use her powers without harming anyone. But can the still-human half of her control the half that is malicious demon?

***** FIVE STARS! Dakota Cassidy seems to get better and better with every book she writes. In my opinion, this story is the best thus far. Seeing the three main female leads from the three previous titles of the series made everything more fun and realistic. Readers will thoroughly enjoy this romp with the paranormal. Fun, humorous, and booty-licious! *****

4.0 out of 5 stars laugh out loud romantic fantasy, February 4, 2010
This review is from: Accidentally Demonic (The Accidental Series, Book 4) (Paperback)
Public relations specialist Casey Schwartz wakes up behind bars, but cannot recall getting arrested. She calls her big sister Wanda (see the Accidental Werewolf) to bail her out. Casey not only fails to remember beating up a cop, which led to her arrest, the normally mild mannered woman cannot understand her sudden short fuse and incredible strength.

Vampire Clayton Gunnersson arrives knowing why Casey has radically changed. In a bar someone accidentally dropped demon blood on her and she is changing into the genetic clone of Clay's demonic mate Hildegard. Casey is attracted to Clay, which if her "twin" finds out will make turning into a demon seem gentle and sweet.

This is a laugh out loud romantic fantasy as fans of the Accidental saga (See Accidental Human and Accidentally Dead) will understand the mantra may the Schwartz be with us. The story line is a breezy lighthearted frolic as a werewolf or vampire bite pale compared to being demonized. Zany throughout, fans of madcap paranormal tales will enjoy the meek will inherit the earth; if they live long enough.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing...(Poss Spoilers below), February 3, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I am a big fan of the Accidental friends series, so I was really looking forward to this books release. I found that this book was very predictable and although funny in places, it just wasn't on par with the other books in this series. Throughout most of this book I found myself questioning the very relationship which the plot limelights...it just seemed very one sided to me.

3.0 out of 5 stars Annoying characters but great plot line, August 10, 2011
This review is from: Accidentally Demonic (The Accidental Series, Book 4) (Paperback)
To start.. I did enjoy this book, for the most part. It was a funny, romantic read. With that said, I grew extremely irritated within the first couple chapters due to the annoying, childish bickering that went on between the four women. There were pages FILLED with stupid, catty whining. I almost stopped reading the book because of it, luckily it did lighten up throughout the rest of the book.

Also, I wasn't happy with the ending. The book lead up to what I was hoping to be a satisfying battle with a great end.. instead there was a battle that fell flat and ended quickly. I was hoping for more conflict and maybe see a little deeper into the character interaction. Not a bunch of whining women who all wanted to have "the biggest balls".

The story line was also exactly like every single book prior to this one.. totally predictable.

I gave it three stars because I did enjoy reading it... mostly, and I will probably read the next one. I love a paranormal romance no matter how predictable it is.

5.0 out of 5 stars the estranged little sister, February 9, 2011

Casey wasn't mentioned alot in the previous books but she is now a part of the paranoral gang. Wanda, Nina, Marty and their mates are still involved in the story and take part in a battle to save the day! Again, the same elements appear so nothing new but a great continuation on the series.

4.0 out of 5 stars This is just a fun series., January 22, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Accidentally Demonic (The Accidental Series, Book 4) (Paperback)
What I LOVED: I adore that Casey is brave enough (stupid enough-same thing sometimes) to stand up to even the likes of Nina. Hildegard was a great foe, she was snarky, b*tchy, and willing to do anything to win. It took someone like Casey to stand up to her. This book fulfilled on the fun meter which is why I love this whole series. Really what I loved most is the "love" that is in the book! Not only between the Casey and Clay but also between all the couples/families/friends!

What I LIKED: I really like the all 3 gals were involved in helping Casey go through adaptation to the Paranormal world. I really like how DC has made each of their journeys different. Casey actually was a somewhat pretty good sport about it and little more level-headed than the other 3 were. I also really liked Darnell. Is it to much to ask that he get his own book---I mean he is an accidental demon on his own.

What I thought was So-So: Ummmm Nothing!

Why I gave it a 4: This is just a fun series. You laugh, sometimes cry, and mostly feel all warm and gooey inside when you finish!

Who I would recommend it too: Any PNR reader and any romance lover that doesn't mind paranormal themes.

I enjoyed the series very much. Different from the run of the mill vampire/werewolf stories. I would buy more if/when more came out.

4.0 out of 5 stars Accidentally Clueless..., August 7, 2010

This review is from: Accidentally Demonic (The Accidental Series, Book 4) (Paperback)
Fourth installment of the "Accidental" series and some how Cassidy pulls it all together. Love the lead characters major involvement and yet the privacy of Casey's life. Hard to feel much for Casey since she's sort of new in the series but by the end she may just earn your sympathy.

Great series to read. While the books tend to follow the same story line each one is a little unique and an entertaining read.
