This is a charming, funny little show that couldn't hold enough of its lead or something like that. The ratings weren't terrible, and I was looking forward to a second season. Instead, they decided to go with a TV adaptation of a twitter account on CBS this year.

I'll probably pick this up at some point. I've already seen all of them, but it will be fun to watch again in a year or so when I've forgotten most of the jokes and scenarios.

Don't be hesitant about picking this up thinking that it just cuts out randomly. The finale offers enough closure that season 1 is a satisfying complete story on its own.

A bright fresh young comedy and really nice to see Jon Foster making it opposite Ms Elfman, who's always so good. Highly recommended.

I enjoy watching Jenna Elfman so much, and I LOVED Dharma and Greg. This show is different from D&G, Jennas's character, Billie Chase, is a more down to earth, career woman, and she is just as funny. The premise of the show is that Billie has been dating her boss at the newspaper where she works, when she decides she wants more from the relationship. The boss doesn't, so she does the only sensible thing she can do, break up with him. She is gambling on the hope that he will miss her and want to move to the next step. Except, he moves on..to Kate Moss. Feeling bad about herself she finds herself in a one night stand with a much younger guy and accidentally winds up pregnant and so begins the very funny (and touching at times) journey of Billie Chase as she navigates the decisions involved in being a single mom who is almost forty. The cast of characters is a great ensemble and the all contribute to a great show. Parental warnings: this show covers one nite stands, unwed mothers, and pot smoking. Today's teenagers are pretty up on all that, but you know your own kid. I would not recommend this for anyone under thirteen, and then I would watch it with them to correct any wrong impressions they might get.
I watched this set so much, I had to buy another set! Some fall out of your seat laughing moments, and Davis the loadie friend, steals the show over and over.

Jenna Elfman & Jon Foster is really GREAT in the show and another star is born with the co-stars. The whole cast is funny and it's such a smart show. When this does come out I'm picking it up! It's one of my favs of all time. It's that GREAT & funny! Check it out on CBS! You will laugh your funny-bone off!

I absolutely love this show. The only problem is that one season is all we have. It's smart and funny, everything you want to experience when you watch a show.

First, I loved "Dharma and Greg", so maybe I had my expectaions to high... Anyway, this show simply wasn't as good, so here's the breakdown- Pluses: Funny cast, spot-on timing, decent writing, interview with the author of the book it was based on. Minuses: Very "sitcom formula" . Genuine suprises were rare. Unlikely premise: this 38-year-old pregnant woman is dating 2 or 3 guys at once in every episode, and none of them cry foul. Or have any hesitation to try a relationship with her. The special benefit--- it is much like "Sex and the City"... or "Two and a half Men"... a good example of a sitcom slanted towards ONE gender at the expense of the other. I call this genre "emotional porn". If you are a man, you might watch this and know what a woman might feel watching the Man-Child (Adam Sandler, Will Ferrel) style of comedy. This type of show plays with the fantasy that you can be flakey and selfish and still date a nonstop conga line of hot, sucessful people. A show as light as "Dharma and Greg" or as heavy as "Deadwood" earns fiercely loyal viewers by having strong male AND female characters

I watched this series when it was on television. Now it is on Netflix, cable, etc. Jon Foster makes great eye candy.
