Funny and Suspenseful,
This review is from: Accomplice: A comedy thriller (Paperback)
This is a great play -- it's hilarious and genuinely suspenseful, and it's guaranteed to keep audiences guessing until the end.If you think you may have a chance to see it on stage, don't read it first. Enjoy the surprises as they were meant to be enjoyed -- by seeing a performance. Otherwise, read it. It's awesome!

This review is from: Accomplice: A comedy thriller (Paperback)
As a playwright struggling with a concept for a stage thriller, I bought this script based on the description, the author's reputation, and some of the reviews. The good news: this is a highly entertaining play, with surprising twists and turns throughout. The bad news (for me): "Accomplice" exposes all the old techniques and cliches of writing for the stage in this genre, making the writing of my script more challenging. I don't know whether to thank Mr. Holmes or to curse him. In any case, he certainly raised the bar with this terrific play.
