I attended Pierre's "Accomplishing More with Less" workshop at Stanford a few years ago. I valued it so much that I hired Pierre to do the workshop for my staff. And yet, I confess, I practice only half of what I learned that day. So when the workbook was released, I eagerly ordered a copy, hoping it would reinforce what I learned and help me get back on track. It has exceeded my expectations! There are more details than what we were able to cover in the workshop, and I love being able to go back to the key points and visual aids that address my particular needs.

Pierre's values and expertise shine through this workbook. He genuinely wants to help people be more productive, without laying on judgment or guilt-trips. He presents productivity issues less as a human failing and more as a universal workplace struggle. Too many of us have too much to do, too much information and too many interruptions. Pierre helps us understand why we feel overwhelmed and how we can change with very simple and practical techniques. I love the "Maybe Later" box! Whether you take baby steps or giant steps, I guarantee Pierre's techniques will help you accomplish more - maybe with the same time rather than less... but certainly feeling better about it! Thank you, Pierre!

If I spent as much time getting organized, as I spend on reading about getting organized, I would probably not need to read another book on the subject. But there's always the possibility that one more book will solve my problems. And I finally found the right book.

Easily the most important section for me was "Work in Progress". I work at home, have multiple distractions, and always have a new project that I'm into. Therefore I have many small piles of paper that are my specific projects, and always felt I could put my hands on anything when I needed it. But invariably, when a phone call or email came in addressing my project, I had trouble retrieving the particular stack I needed, since it was most likely buried under a different and equally important stack.

The Work In Progress filing system was the perfect answer for me. I have been using it for several months now, and the best thing about it isn't just BEING ABLE to find what I'm looking for - but it's not having the STRESS of being UNABLE to find what I'm looking for. I have 2 small cardboard hanging file bins sitting on the floor next to my chair, and all my current projects are in there. Of course I still have all my BIG filing cabinets for my permanent storage - but these 2 little ones have eased my life immensely.

And that was just the beginning. It is one of the most helpful organizational tools I have ever tried to use. Very user friendly and fun to read. I highly recommend it.

This book is amazing! It provides easy to apply tools and techniques for how to streamline and stay on top of tasks, emails, documents, and projects. By restructuring my day to include periods of uninterrupted focused time, followed by periods of collaboration, I have found I am actually accomplishing more in my workday. Chapter 4 (E-Mail Subdued) is worth the price of the book alone. My inbox is no longer controlling me; I am controlling my inbox! Another phenomenal tool is the journal. I know what I want to get done, can capture random thoughts so they don't distract me, and have a place to keep track of meeting notes. By beginning and ending the day with my journal, I can rest easy that nothing has fallen through the cracks. The best part of Pierre's book is that it remains a friendly reference. I can refer back to it with ease as I refine techniques or for encouragement to stay on track.

This workbook illustrates the principles Khawand teaches in his invaluable workshops, which I took last year. It's amazing how the digital era has kept us in a constant state of interruption, incapable of accomplishing anything that requires sustained attention. Khawand helps you control interruptions and tech distractions instead of allowing them to control you, and teaches you exactly how. I cannot recommend his methods or this workbook highly enough. After taking Khawand's workshop and implementing his tactics, I was able to move my consulting practice to the next level, both in quality and in financial reward. Thank goodness for Pierre Khawand and his attention to this insidious and ubiquitous problem.

This is a really valuable book. A well-organized, practical, step-by-step process to deal with the distracting realities of everyday business life. Pierre is very insightful; when he describes why many of us don't achieve what we set out to do each day, I felt like he had been watching my typical workday! He provides incredibly easy and useful tools and techniques to counteract the things that damage our productivity. For someone like me, who is easily distracted, Pierre's structured approach is very helpful. I found myself acting on each chapter as I read it.

Highly recommended!

This workbook is timely and effective. In a climate where productivity, and value for money is the name of the game, it offers a set of practical guidelines for managing the firehose of email, electronic documents, and business communications we all juggle in today's networked workplace.

Accomplishing More With Less starts with some much needed myth-busting about multi-tasking "benefits". (Excuse me while I answer my cell phone, check my email, and respond to my colleagues' latest questions about project deadlines all at the same time). It explains how to become more efficient by managing interruptions, gaining focus on results, and, above all, completing tasks, not just keeping plates spinning.

The many practical tips for staying on top of day-to-day communications can rescue many of us from the complexity that the "time-saving" computer has brought into our lives. This book is a salvo back to the great mistake that PC office applications and smart phones deliver productivity benefits right out of the box.

What I liked most was how Accomplishing More With Less showcases the latest web vehicles--wiki's, podcasting, blogs, virtual worlds, other digital communication tools--and explains the mechanics, as well as the pro's and con's of each. It also discusses how to apply bring those tools inside the organization to facilitate better team collaboration. I wish the book came with an accompanying instructor to provide discipline for mastering AML skills. But then, you do get a coupon for a seminar with the book. As a primer, this book is an excellent reference to what's key for staying on top of all the information traffic in our lives.
