5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent whether or not you agree with the author
I first read this book when I was about 9 or 10 years old. I didn't understand a lot of what was written back then but it did open my mind to many possibilities. While still an adolescent, I joined the local UFO group and even went to see Daniken in person when he visited Tauranaga (New Zealand) in the 70's. 3.0 out of 5 stars Hit and Trial
It is a thought provoking book. Forces the reader to think differently. Sometimes the author nearly convinces the reader about his view point. It appears to be that Erich is fully confident that even the God do his matters on "Hit & Trial" methods. Appart from that, the author has done good research on various eras and times of the world.

This review is from: According to the Evidence: My Proof of Man's Extraterrestrial Origins (Hardcover)
In many ways Daniken's books have had a large impact on my life even though I haven't subscribed to his theories for a long time.

By presenting his views, and his "evidence", Daniken invites us to question the dogma of the day. And I believe that it is very important to question dogma. "Why do we believe something ?" and more importantly "Why does someone else want me to believe it ?".

This book also sparked my enthusiasm for travel and I have visited many of the places mentioned in Danikens books; Pyramids of Giza, Stonehenge, Machu Picchu, Nazca lines, Easter Island etc. Whether or not these places were built by Aliens, they are still amazing.

Thanks Erich.
