Interesting Collection,
By S. Seth Hickel (Lenoir, nc United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Accordion Tribe (Audio CD)
This is quite an interesting collection. I had to listen to it a few times before I started to appreciate the musicianship and talent involved. These folks have a sense of humor too as displayed by "Mad Cow". "accordion tribe" would definitely push the musical envelope for the casual listener. If you have an open mind/ear than certainly purchase this CD, you will come to appreciate it with a couple of listens. I did.

Try it, you'll like it!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Accordion Tribe (Audio CD)
Not just for accordion aficionados, Accordion Tribe is filled with inventive, joyful music...composed and performed by virtuosos who obviously had a great time playing together. Although they appear to push the sonic limits of the instrument, musicality isn't sacrificed for effect. If you're an accordion fan, you're missing out if you haven't listened to Accordion Tribe. If you think the accordion is only for playing polkas, you're in for a most enjoyable ear-opener.

Accordian Tribe,
By A Customer
This review is from: Accordion Tribe (Audio CD)
A friend once joked to me that the music in heaven is played on a harp, while music in hell is played on an accordian. At the time, I was offended because I've enjoyed accordian music since my childhood. After hearing this CD, I must agree with my friend. I consider listening to it a second time much worse than a trip to hades. I can't give it away for fear of losing a friend, and it lacks the aerodynamic qualities of a Frisbee. Perhaps I could send it to the earlier reviewer as a replacement for his CD after he wears it out from repeated playing?
