Excellent resource for parents!, October 28, 2004
This review is from: Accountable Kids: Raising Accountable Kids One Step At A Time (Paperback)
This book has given us as parents, the tools to enjoy parenting and teach our children how to be a responsible part of our family. We no longer have to nag our children to do what is expected of them. They have learned to take control of their own lives and and they love it! The wonderful thing about the principals covered in this book is that you can custom fit it to your family. And you are the one teaching your child. My kids love having structure and predictability. Using the skills from this book, they have blossomed into Accountable Kids, and I will always be grateful to the authors

I love this program! I have been using it for several months and can't believe the results with my children. The book was easy to read and has brought my family closer together.

Practical!!!, June 30, 2009
This review is from: Accountable Kids: Raising Accountable Kids One Step At A Time (Paperback)
FINALLY! A practical, step by step method to a happier home life for everyone (kids and parents alike!).
I've read plenty of parenting *theory* books. Books that may provide insight, and understanding, but very little in the way of concrete take-away. This system is SO much more than theory (though, it has some very serious theory backing it up, in the way of sound psychological and child development principles). Instead it is specific, concrete, outlined steps to completely transform your relationship with your child (beginning, in a more limited way, around 3yo up to early teens) and help you raise a child with a clear sense of personal responsibility and, yes, accountability!
It's also quite flexible and can be altered to apply for all sorts of children, families, and situations.
