Accounting for Evil, August 15, 2004
This review is from: Accounting for Evil (Paperback)
A very enjoyable read. The authors had published an earlier collection of short stories called Robot Visions. These short stories actually became the background to this book. Having read the first it was fun to come across references in the "Evil" book. The book is richly worded with a solution to the main characters murder investigation that is unique to the world.
One of the treats to this book is the rich world, whole galaxy actually, that they create. There is a complete sense of unique history to the book, it accounts for its own thread of evolution in a way that the reader knows has been thoroughly thought out.
The robots in the are refreshingly different from the usual sci-fi creations. Especially so for the main character's own robot. The story has a quick pace with some quirky turns, keeping it fresh and surprising.
An ideal recommended read.
