The Accounting Software Handbook provides an excellent overview of the state of accounting software today as we move into the Client/Server environment. The book can be read from cover to cover to obtain a basic understanding of the state of the accounting software industry. It also serves as an excellent reference, since the author breaks down the book by chapters such as " Internet Accounting" and " Graphical Accounting", which should be referred back to frequently. Finally, by doing such an excellent job of updating us on the current status of this changing industry, the author provides functional business managers with ideas of how they can use technology to improve their organizations.The author is an excellent writer whose style is informative for managers, technical people who need a better understanding of business issues, as well as students, salespeople, and others who are trying to develop a basic understanding of the business. I would recommend this book not only to those involved in the software industry, but to anyone studying where business is headed in the future.
