5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Easter gift

1.0 out of 5 stars What A Ripoff!!!
Even though these "Flesh Eating Zombies" are reasonably priced they DO NOT work as advertised.

I got them out and they just sat there. They don't run around maniacally in search of new victims. They don't smell like death. They don't moan and groan. And they most definitely don't eat flesh.

I'm serious, they don't eat flesh. Not even a nibble...

"After all, Easter is about resurrection" she quipped, so despite my misgivings I allowed it. He absolutely loved them!

Several of the figurines have missing limbs; there is a crawling zombie, and an undead dog as well. My personal favorite is the housewife with a brain in her outstretched hand. Someone put a lot of thought into these, and they'd be even better paired with the B movie victim set (which we were unaware of at the time). They glow in the dark, and for a long time he had them under his bedside lamp, so when it was turned off they continued to imbue his room with a subtle, relaxing light.

I can also see the wonderful potential for decorating a graveyard cake with these guys. A creative and whimsical product!

I used these figurines for cake toppers. I made red velvet cake with chocolate frosting and oreo cookie crumb topping. I then put the Zombies on top. It was a hit!
This could also be a good birthday cake idea for the horror movie lover you know.

My (grown) brother is really into zombies. I got this for him as a Christmas gift - something to give him a laugh. Shouldn't be a problem, as I was thoroughly amused with them myself. Was also impressed with the amount of detail in each figurine - like the guy carrying his own severed arm. Priceless.

I don't know who was more excited to find these, me, my fiance or our boys! We did our traditional wedding cake with the topper being a couple with guns, poised to fight off the Zombie attack and our grooms cake was dark chocolate all torn up to look like trashed ground and the Zombies were all headed for our bride and groom on the wedding cake - it was a huge hit at the reception and everybody had fun with it. I know these were supposed to be toys but the made our day that much more fun and special! And a great deal on top of that!

Our 6-year-old son sat on Santa's lap at the local mall and when asked what he wanted for Christmas replied "zombies". It made for a shorter-than-usual visit with Santa, but luckily Santa was able to find this play set on Amazon. They were his favorite Xmas gift and he still regularly takes them with him to play (not sure what our friends think, but he enjoys himself...).

They are very durable and the attention to gory detail is a hoot. He also likes that they glow in the dark, so they are no doubt one of the last things he sees as he drifts off to sleep when he takes them to bed with him. Because of the blood and gore (including a zombie dog carrying a human hand in its mouth) they probably technically aren't age-appropriate for a 6-year-old, but he hasn't seemed to suffer any ill effects so far.

These are a great toy. Emphasis on "toy." The educational value leaves much to be desired. If you were to try to use these for a visual aid, your class would be woefully unprepared for real life zombie identification. First, real zombies, unless they're radio active, usually don't glow in the dark. It would be nice if they did, but they don't. Second, there's a zombie dog in this set. Everyone knows that zombie dogs only exist in crappy video game adaptation movies. Finally, this set is, how should I put this, disappointingly monochormatic when it comes to the racial diversity. Zombies, like people, come in all colors. The ones in this set seem to only be fair skinned. It would be important, especially for children first learning to differentiate the living from the mobile deceased, to show zombies of all ethnicities.

Other than that, these are pretty cool. They make an especially nice, subtle addition to the cube of the "quirky" or nerdy office drone.

I got this for a friend's birthday. It looks great in the packaging just sitting on a shelf, or you could use it to decorate a nifty zombie cake. Definitely kitschy!

This will sound strange, but this was what my older son asked Santa for. He spotted these in another catalog, and talked about how badly he wanted a set of "pocket zombies" for literally 4 months, so Santa brought 'em. They now appear in the oddest places- the coffee canister, my makeup kit, in the silverware drawer, next to the forks....yes, my boy's quite the prankster! (I live in fear of his getting ahold of another "practical joke" kit, especially one with a whoopie cushion!) The zombies play a great many roles, and frequently have skirmishes with around 200 army men and plastic Viking warriors, Godzilla and other Toho characters, and occasionally they battle the Terminator, as well. I realize that they're probably meant more as a desk decoration or something along those lines, but my kids absolutely love them for creative play. So aside from their probable intended use, they're great for playing with. Added bonus: they glow in the dark! They're a nice addition to the collection of oddball characters who live in the playroom.

These were perfect to put on a cake I made for my grandson. He requested a zombie cake and these were just perfect. I made a greaveyard scene on the top of the cake and the zombies worked great. Glow in the dark zombies was a bonus.
