I bought these scissors to use for shredding my name/address from all the junk mail I get. I always tear out just the personal info, and throw the rest away. I mean, I was using these scissor to shred one little piece of paper at a time. I'd had them for less than a month, but last week the handle broke off! I thought I'd purchased the really cheap pair - but tonight, in looking at my purchase history, I see I'd paid almost $20. for them. I have arthritis in my hands, so I know I wasn't mis-using them. They're nothing but junk - save your money.

The package clearly states that you can use this to shred credit cards. On the very first use the handle broke off while making the first cut on the credit card. The handles are cheap plastic, and the metal only goes about a half inch into them. There is no way this product could last. AVOID!
