Product Description

Amazon.com Review

AccuSet air-powered tools are an exceptional choice for woodworking enthusiasts, hobbyists, do-it-yourselfers, and light-duty contractors. They are designed by Senco, renowned for their professional-grade air tools, and have all the versatility and features you expect from their nail guns. This 18-gauge, 2-inch brad nailer is the perfect tool for projects where aesthetics are important, such as assembling cabinet face frames, decorative trim, and scribe moldings. It has the remarkable ability to shoot nails from 5/8 to 2 inches. A great feature is the adjustable depth-of-drive for precise nail depth. This nailer also has a fluorescent yellow reload indicator, rear exhaust, and tough epoxy paint. We loved its svelte design, soft-grip handle, and heavy-duty casing. It comes with a restrictive trigger, but just give AccuSet a call and they will send out a dual-action trigger for bump firing. AccuSet stands by their products: they give this brad nailer a two-year noncommercial or one-year commercial warranty. --Tom Kasperson

From the Manufacturer

This brad nailer features scratch-resistant epoxy paint and sleek, lightweight design for one-handed control. It's designed for projects requiring shorter brads, like cabinet door trim. It features a quick-release latch for easy loading, a soft-grip handle, a restrictive trigger, and rugged permanent mold castings. The rear exhaust keeps oil and dust off wood, the fluorescent yellow indicator will tell you when to reload, and the no-mar pad and soft bumpers will protect woodwork. It will drive brads from 5/8 to 2 inches in length. The kit includes safety glasses and storage case.

5.0 out of 5 stars Recommended All Purpose Brad Nailer, January 20, 2000

Although this is the first brad nailer that I have purchased, I've used others in the past. I don't use a brad nailer day in and day out but I wanted to have one for my own remodeling and project use. After researching all the brad nailers out there as much as I could (product research is a hobby of mine as well)I was drawn to the A200BN by the price and the variety of fastener sizes it could shot. I was rather empressed with the A200BN from the first time I used it. I've used it with none structural jambs (not supporting hinges),casing moldings, and even 2-5/8 ceiling cove without a problem. Although a 18 gauge fastener does have it's limitations I found the A200BN to be an all time saver for me,especially since I can really do damage to a piece of molding with a hammer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect, August 19, 2000
This review is from: AccuSet A200BN 2¿ 18-Gauge Brad Nailer Kit (Tools & Home Improvement)
I expected a little more from a nailer that says Senco in little letters on the side. I know it's not a true Senco but I guess it's the closest thing. I've had several brad nailers and this is my second favorite. It beats the other imports hands down. Plenty of power. Smooth operation. Very quiet. Depth of drive is easily adjustable . I love the exhaust. It's not adjustable. It doesn't have to be. It is muffled and gradually exits the tool at the back of the handle. No more blowing dust around the room or worse in your eyes! I wish all guns implemented this improvement.I also like the rather large rubber grip. About the only complaint I have is the no mar tip is easy to lose. Oh and it's not as refined as a Senco. But neither is anything else.

When I purchased this lovely little brad nailer I seriously set out with the intention of buying the more expensive Senco. What changed my mind? How about a wider range of nail length, adjustable depth of drive, and a much better exhaust. Senco say they aim this gun at the DIY/light trade end of the market, don't be fooled this is a very durable reliable little nailer. Why only four stars - the no-mar tip is not as good as the more expensive Senco's (but around here if you lose one they replace it free) and it would be nicer if it was an oiless gun, but hey at this price I can't argue.
