I have both irritable bowel syndrome (type A) and ulcerative colitis. I am also lactose intolerant. Before I discovered Accuflora, I suffered miserably every day with poor digestion and absorption of food; embarassing symptoms of alternating constipation and diarrhea; lower abdominal cramps; excessive bloating/gas; and constant urges to empty the bowel. Today, my digestion and absorption of food is normal, including dairy products(!); those embarassing IBS symptoms are gone; I haven't had a colitis "flare up" in months; and my bowel movement is regular.

I have blood sugar problems (Hypoglycemia) & with this disease come constant yeast (vaginal) infections. However, since I discovered this product I have NOT had another infection to date. The same can be said for this products benefits for fighting sinus & upper respiratory infections; I no longer have these either. I pray this product continues to be available indefinitely, as it is the best product I've ever found that can help keep your body's immune system in check. I think of it as nature's antibiotic. Thank you.

Ahh, this stuff is great. I have been an avid fan of all forms of Acidophilus, whether in it's natural state found in yoghurt to all kind of pills and caplets for years. I know eating vitamins and nutrients in the natural state is the best, but hey, when in a rush I take all the help I can get and I have definitely noticed results with the supplement so why stop now.

Acidophilus is a generic name for a whole group of probiotics, added to milk products that aid in digestion and help fight all kinds of immunity problems. The healthy bacteria such as the L.acidophilus inhabit the mouth, intestines and the female regions and protect them from hostile germs and organisms. This strand produces lactic acid that creates an unsavory environment for unhealthy organisms. I started taking these years ago when I had some infection, the female kind, really not fun, and along with garlic pills it really helped my body fight. This is especially good for those who are on birth control, something that can also have certain negative effects on the female body, making it prone to infections. The friendly germs help replenish the natural flora and help reduce overgrow of yeast. This is also excellent to take during winter and change of season times when colds and feeling icky are easy to succumb to. Also an excellent boost for the immune and digestive system this is a great tool to help the body stay in good shape without having to use antibiotics to cure small woes. This product can help the body in production of folic acid and niacin, a neat home made factory that doesn't require me taking any more vitamins!

My aunt swears that Acidophilus combined with the garlic pills makes her hair grown like crazy, hard to tell for me since my hair is so long but hers was short and she loved the effect and who knows maybe it does help. I really like the Accuflora brand because after I take the caplet I don't feel any side effects of swallowing pills and I always make sure to carry some with me if I forget to take them in the morning.

The other probiotic brands don't work for most people (including me). Probably because the ONLY probiotic they have in them is Acidophilus.

This one keeps my IBS and Acid Reflux in check, as long as I take it as a daily supplement. Not even prescription meds could do that.

These caplets contain only 0.5 billion bacteria, which isn't very much compared to something like Complete Probiotics, which has 60 billion bacteria per caplet. That's 120 times less effective. But, they're also 12 times cheaper, so the question is: how much is enough?

Well, even this weak caplet has had an astonishing impact on my gas. If I take one in the morning, I have almost no problems all day. If I don't, it can be pretty bad. I tried Beano, which had almost no effect for me. This is much more effective.

The only problem is that the effect only lasts for one day. Every day I miss, it's like I never took any. I'm thinking about buying a more potent kind to see if it lasts for longer.

So, if you have problems with gas or digestion and Beano hasn't helped, try these. They're pretty cheap, so there isn't much to lose. If they don't work, try a more potent variety of probiotics.

I had my gallbladder out about 8 years ago and my digestive health continued to go downhill after it was out. To give you an idea, every time I put the footstool down on my recliner one of my cats runs to the bathroom because that must be where I'm going. I spent a lot of time in there. I was buying Imodium in bulk. Ham and other pork products started making me throw up. I was miserable.
One week where I spent most of the time in the bathroom, my sister suggested I take acidophilus or eat some yogurt. I'm not a big yogurt fan and refrigeration of pills means out of sight, out of mind. So when I saw this stuff, I decided it was worth a try.
The day it showed up, I had already taken the maximum 3 Imodium and was still having problems. So I took two pills as soon as I got the package open and 2 every night after that.
3 days after I started it, my bowel movements were normal. (I only knew that was normal because I'd seen it on the Dr. Oz show one day. Apparently I'd never had a normal bowel movement before that!)
I still have to take the occasional Imodium, but I think that's just life.
Now if I can just get the cat to stop running for the bathroom every time I get up, all traces of my former problems will be gone!
If you're suffering from digestive problems this is definitely something you need to try.

I recently purchased Accu-flora (pro-biotic acidophilus). I must take antibiotics daily for the rest of my life. It caused me many problems (the usual side effects). Since I started taking this product along with my antibiotic, and by itself two hours after my last combined dose, my problems have disappeared. My local Sam's store quit carrying it, so I ordered it online through Amazon. It met the criteria for the "no shipping charge" option, making it the most economical way to purchase it. I am definitely a satisfied customer.

This is a fabulous product. My daughter has IBD and this has worked wonders for her. Her surgeon recommended Flora Q, which works well, but is a bit pricier ($30+/30 tabs). Accuflora contains almost the exact ingredients, but at a much better price. If you suffer from any type of digestive problem or disorder, you should consider giving this product a try.

I stumbled across this product one night when desperately trying to find a 'cure' for yet another yeast infection that my doctor says is simply brought on by hormones every month. She said to try different kinds of acidophilus and to see which product seemed to help the most.

THIS product, (in conjunction with the pearls of the same brand) has changed my life. I went from having a yeast infection EVERY MONTH for six years (I tried changing my diet for years, taking Diflucan in massive dosages, creams and suppositories, etc., with no effect), to not having had a single one in the past four months since I've been taking this product daily (I started off by tripling my dosage, then doubling, and am now down to what the bottle recommends and still seem OK). When I was taking the massive doses, I did have to contend with "the runs" sometimes, but I finally got a dosage down that seems to work for me.

If you've struggled with irregularity (that was never a problem of mine, but this has helped my bowels with that, too), or if you have recurring yeast infections, GET THIS TODAY.

I like the fact that this Probiotic does not have to be refrigerated like the prior one so I tend not to forget taking it.I find it is just as effective for a more natural regulation.I recomend this product very highly.
