I searched all through Amazon looking for a reliable and convenient tire gauge, and this fit the bill nicely. I cannot verify the accuracy of the gauge, but I can atest the precision. Meaning, it is consistent when measuring between readings. I measured 8 different tires with varying pressures, bouncing between them randomly (writing down each measurement, respectively) and continued until each tire was measured 3x. All readings were consistent, which meant I could rely on the gauge for any changes (increase or decrease) in tire pressure. All I had to do was trust that the reading was accurate (meaning correct, relative to atmospheric pressure and temperature) to match my car's recommended tire pressure (which is usually found on the driver's side door). Some reviewers atest to the accuracy of this device, and I believe them. I don't have any professional grade gauges, but I do have more trust in this digital guage than some of my analog ones at home. My Audi A5 with 19 inch low profile tires never felt better.
The convience comes in by way of design, quality, and features that this gauge gives you. It has a nice heft, shape, and feel to the overall body. The tip rotates 360 degrees and does not wobble. In my test, I had no trouble getting a good fit on the tire valve (hence, no difference in readings in my test). The led light is angled so it is aligned with the tip. Its not that bright, but good enough to search for the valve in dark situations. The guage automatically turns on if you measure a tire right away (meaning you dont have to power it on prior). And it lets you save the recommend tire pressure (in psi or bar) for front and rear tires so you dont have to keep checking the manual or driver's side door. The readings stay on for 10 seconds after a measurement, which is plenty of time for me (who doesn't check the pressure right away?), and best of all, if it senses any changes in pressure it will change the reading and then hold it again for 10 seconds. In other words, you dont have to wait 10 seconds before measuring the next tire (which is useful if you are at a gas station paying 75 cents for a limited time of air). All in all, this is a great tire gauge that looks modern, easy to use, and gives you reliable readings. Perfect.
UPDATE *****************
One morning I checked my tire pressures before going out on a grocery run. By the time I got home during mid day, my tires were a bit hotter. I measured them again and all of them were 0.5 psi higher than before (due to the higher temperature), which reassured me of the precision of the gauge. Plus as a tip, I found it convenient to put a lanyard on the hole at the bottom of the gauge so that you can hang it on your wrist and have both hands free. Outstanding design. And it comes with a nice, black case with an inside molded to the shape of the gauge.
