4.0 out of 5 stars Better looking in real life
This looks much better in real life than any of the pictures I saw before buying. You'll probably need the link tool to resize the band which you'll most likely need to do, unless you're in those strongest man in the world competitions. On the one I received I didn't get all the directions on how to use it (but I downloaded what I needed) and it appears that the 30 minute...

2.0 out of 5 stars Reliability Problems with the Accutron Eagle Pilot's Watch
I have had this watch for a little over two years. Visually, it's a sharp-looking watch, but in terms of reliability, I've found it very frustrating. Twice, I've had the flyback second hand jam. The first time, it was just a couple of weeks after I bought the watch, and the jeweler replaced the watch. The second time was about two months ago. The watch is still under...

2.0 out of 5 stars Reliability Problems with the Accutron Eagle Pilot's Watch, November 13, 2007

The watch is still under warranty, so I sent it back to Accutron. It came back in even worse shape than when I sent it in! The jeweler has sent it back again, and Accutron is supposedly going to rush it, but I expect a chronograph this expensive to work much more reliably than this one has. It's interesting. Just a few years ago, Accutron had a 25-year warrantly on its watches. By the time I bought this watch, the warrantly was down to 5 years, and more recently, Accutron has reduced the length of its warranty to the industry standard of two years. Does this suggest that the company either knows its watches have reliability problems or is deliberately not making them as well as it used to? Either way, it's a real disappointment for a brand that used to be known as one of the most reliable on the market.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great watch, but........, August 20, 2007
By
This is a beautiful watch with a great feel. I have the white faced version. I love the style and get many compliments. But about a month after I got it I noticed the the split timer hand (black hand) was no longer resetting to zero. I have done several manual adjustment to realign the hands but every time I use the stop watch feature it no longer resets to zero. Very frustrating. I expected more from Accutron and from a watch in this price range.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

Looks better than the photo. I'm pretty sure this watch has been discontinued, but if you find it, It'll be at a discount, and it's definitely worth it. Accurate and impressive. Accutrons rarely dissapoint.

I've had this watch for about a month now and so far could not be happier. It is extremely well made, accurate, attractive, and very reasonably priced. A big plus is the dark colored hands which make them highly visible against the white background.

Its much better than I expected. It wears well, nice weight. The watch arrived with a dead battery, but Amazon made it right.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome watch, but..., September 7, 2007

I own this watch. It is unique and very large--gets much attention whenever I wear it. I had the same problem with the chronograph movement that the previous poster has. Although I am disappointed that the chronograph is not operating perfectly, I never wear this watch for that function so it makes little difference. It is so awesome in its size, weight and overall appearance that I continue to wear it. The blue hands on the white dial creates an expensive classy appearance while looking completely modern and maintaining the 'form follows function' look that is characteristic of a pilot's watch.
