I bought two of these--i had bought them before, they lasted for years, but lost them in flooding from Irene. These new ones were WORTHLESS. They arrived dried up and there was nothing inside them to freeze. Sent them back. Got a whole song and dance about how "they only are supposed to last 2 years at the most anyway, and these must have dried up in the warehouse" from the manufacturer. But in the old days, this product was good, did what it was supposed to, and lasted. THESE ARE NOT ACE COLD COMPRESSES ANYMORE, they are made by someone else, with the old name. Good luck if you buy them. I guess it keeps the post office in business, sending defective merch back...so that's the silver lining, but i resent the time and money it costs to deal with defective stuff like this.

I was concerned about the very high shipping fee's for such a small item (2 small cold compress packs for $2.56 each and $13.00 for shipping! (I bought 2 larger cold packs from Amazon with a third the shipping fees) and then received a box big enough for a stereo receiver with two dried up ice packs with no gel in them that were not usable (and would have fit in my mail slot in the correct package. I let them know they had sent a defective product and asked for my money back and they said you cannot return medical supplies (even ones that could never be used?) they promptly sent me two more that were just as dried up and unusable (much smaller padded envelope this time!?). Amazon is now taking over my return and say they will get my money back. Avoid this seller if you don't want to waste your time and money!

These cold packs are the best for icing! I generally use them to ice my knees, neck or back, and they just work so well. They stay pretty cold for a long time, but aren't too cold for my skin. I've even used them after a burn to ease the pain.

The item came quickly, but the box was damaged during delivery. Product I bought was in good condition. I think seller should but in more secure box.

I have enjoyed the comfort of these soft and moldable compresses. I have four currently, and I have never had a breakage or leak. They are really stable. I feel as though it is another piece of my clothing; they are that soft and comfortable. I highly recommend these to anyone. I mean if a person were to be rough with them I am sure they would hold up for only so long, but if they are taken care of in the right form they will last many years. I have had my first on since 2003, and it is still in perfect condition after... oh, I would say I have used it at least 50 times since then. This is definitely a product to be had for a lifetime.

I just ordered and received 2 of these.
I had bought this item years ago, and still have the older ones which
were great. New ones arrived, one with no gel at all, just dried up chunks
inside the cloth, and the other with just a tiny bit of gel inside.
Clearly the manufacturing standards have declined on this product.
I have read reviews for similar products (same brand, different sizes)
where others had similar issue with leakage of gel.

I'd steer clear and buy something else that is more solid,
maybe plastic container instead of cloth that can leak.
