I PURCHASED A VERY EXPENSIVE OUTDOOR SET; AND THE GLASSTOP TABLE HAD A HARD PLASTIC RING WHICH QUICKLY DISCOLORED AND CRACKED, FROM THE SUN. I PURCHASED THIS AS A REPLACEMENT SET AND I AM 100% SATISFIED, THE OUTER RING IS A THICK CLEAR RUBBER, AND I NOW HAVE A NICE CENTER CAP, WHEN I DON'T USE MY UMBRELLA. IN MY OPINION YOU WILL BE VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT.

My current patio ring/plug was old and discolored. This one fit the hole in my patio table well. It was snug and didn't move around once in use. I've had it in for several months and no discoloration from the hot sun yet. My old plug was of a harder plastic and made the patio umbrella clank against it on a windy day. This plastic is slightly softer and acts as a nice buffer for the patio umbrella against the hole of the table. It does contain 2 pieces. One is the outside ring for use with a patio umbrella and the other piece is a solid center for use in a patio table without an umbrella. I bought two since the price was right and I couldn't find this product locally.
