Johnny Rawls is the leading producer of classic soul blues today. He tops himself with each new album and this one is great. The songwriting, performances, production values and everything about it is first rate. But, what sets Rawls apart is his delivery of the song. Highly recommended. This ranks right up there with No Boundaries, one of the best blues (although not really blues songs) albums of all time.

Johnny Rawls new CD, Ace Of Spades, is one great song after another. Really nice horn charts and solid rhythm section. Good songwriting, original lyrics, hooks that stay with you. Add Johnny Rawls singing the songs and this is a winning hand.
