The worst monitor I have ever purchased. Completely unreliable. Repeatedly quits working after 6 weeks of operation. It has been in the repair shop more often that it has been on my desk. Had to ship it back to Acer for repairs twice before they agreed to ship me a new monitor. Then Acer reneged and refused to direct ship a new monitor to me. Customer service at the Round Rock Texas repair facility is horrendous. Rude, short, impatient, inflexible. One agent hung up on me after refusing to assist and refusing to put his supervisor on the phone. Avoid this monitor at all costs.

Huh?!?!?!?! I don't get all the negative reviews from so many others about this product. I've had this monitor for over a year and I absolutely LOVE IT! Now I don't know what kind of video card and connection others are using but I am using an ATI 9800 Pro and have the monitor hooked into the DVI Digital Output instead of the standard VGA which is analog. I don't think that really matters though - I mean hooked my Xbox 360 up to the standard VGA port a little while ago and the picture was awesome.

I'm not discounting anyone else's opinion of the product by any means because maybe theirs came from a bad batch or something, but just so others can hear a positive review from someone that has been very happy with their purchase for a while now! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the speakers on the monitor are a little weak, but that's really to be expected isn't it...

Broad vertical dark bands, uneven colors, auto-focuses every time it powers up (thus getting rid of your attempts to fix the image), shimmers from time to time. I've tried this for a week and am returning it. Worst monitor I've ever used.

I purchased this monitor after shopping around for a good deal on a 19" LCD. What a mistake. The backlight will periodically fail, the first time it happened I sent it in for warranty repair. It came back working, and I was momentarily glad that the rumors I'd heard about Acer tech support didn't turn out to be true in my case.

The second time it happened I got suspicious. I wanted to call acer tech support and talk to someone. I managed to find their mysterious phone number from a google cache and called them. It turns out they didn't DO anything when they received it. They opened it up, turned it on, and it worked so they sent it back. Of course, they don't tell you they did nothing.

Acer has been awful to deal with, they treat their customers like rubbish, and have a miserable repair facility to match their products. Don't buy this monitor!

Now when the backlight fails, I have to leave it unplugged overnight and it works the next day. Acer will not replace it because the problem doesn't occur when they have it.

This monitor that I have now is great.The grafics are great when playing Battlefield 2 and Empire Earth. It's also great for watching videos and it has never broke down on me. This monitor is for someone who plays games and watches videos on Youtube and yet doesn't want to pay for the $800 Plasma Monitor that can do everyting.All in all, this is one fantastic monitor.

I purchased this monitor in 2005 I paid $319.00 kinda expensive but it was good at that time...I've used it since...no problems what so ever...at all I've had it in storage for a year it also went with me to Brazil when I was there for 1.5 years so it has seen it's share of abuse during travel...I have moved 2 times since I purchased it and it continues to go.....it's very well made just analog and DVI...I am not getting rid of it...hell it out lasted my wife....hahahahaahah so it is a very good monitor...

WELL, AS THE PRODUCT WAS USED I SAID THAT IS A LITTLE HIGH BUT I WAS IN NEED OF A MONITOR. IT SEEMED WHAT I WANTED WITH BUILT IN SPEAKERS AND THE SIZE, BUT WHEN IT GOT HERE THERE WERE NO SPEAKERS OR SPEAKER PORT ON THE MONITOR AND THAT WAS A BIG DISAPOINTMENT AS I REALL WANTED THE SPEAKERS THAT'S WHY I BOUGHT IT, BUT OTHER THAN THAN IT IS WORKING FINE RIGHT NOW. IF YOU LOOK AT THE PRODUCT IT SAID SPEAKERS BUILT IN. I BET THERE'S NOT A THREE YR WARRANTY EITHER

Bad experiences with this monitor. After a year I have had display problems and audio problems that can not be fixed. I called the company, but the warranty was up and they were of no help. This monitor wasn't cheap and I expected it to last longer than a year.

I've been using this monitor for about 3 years now, with no problems. It originally had one bunk pixel, but it corrected itself after a bit of use. I'm an avid gamer, and watch dvds regularly using this monitor, and I have to say it performs great.

I've had this product for probably just over a year now and have had no problems with it. The pixels are 100% and the colors are great.

Not the most expensive, but it looks great and works just fine.
